I love Van Morrison's Crazy Love. I also like the song he wrote as a teen and performed as the lead vocal for the band, "Them." It's the ultimate garage band song and has been covered my many artists. I think both of these songs warrant a reaction video.
Van Morrison: "Jackie Wilson Said", "Brown Eyed Girl", " And It Stoned Me", "Domino", " Into The Mystic", "Moondance"," Tupelo Honey", "Caravan", " Wild Night", "Real,Real Gone"/ And the entire, " Astral Weeks" album is a landmark recording.
Once in a Blue Moon is one of my favs :) ooo Hungry for Your Love is good too... Throw in the live It's Too Late to Stop Now album and the live version of Cleaning Windows... the Veedon Fleece album while not perfect also has a spot in my heart... something special about it.
"These Are the Days" is another great song, and I think "If You Love Me" is touching, too. I know the Philosopher's Stone album is old outtakes and maybe not quite as great as his other work, but "Bright Side of the Road" is a genuine delight.
This is laying on a hammock, looking at the sky and sipping lemonade song. When I was a teenager, my grandmother told me that my life is a big book and this was just a chapter. I still try to remember that when hitting down times.
Always loved his voice. Also love everyone's suggestions of Tupelo Honey, Moondance, Brown Eyed Girl, etc. Years later I heard him singing with his grown daughter and it was absolutely beautiful, she has such a pure voice when singing with him. Great music.
Try “It Stoned Me” and “Moondance”, to of Van’s strongest songs. You won’t be disappointed! You are doing a good job. It’s fun watching you hear songs for the first time. It reminds me of when I heard them for the first time on FM radio when they were released! Be well
You’d love his really early stuff. Check out when his group was THEM doing Baby Please Don’t Go (live) or Gloria. Then later he’s got Domino, Wild Night, Blue Money, Moondance, Tupelo Honey, Caravan and so many others!! He still tours-I saw he’s getting back to Skiffle.
“Blue Money”...yes...something a little different from Van... “Into the Mystic” owns my soul...and makes me ache for my late husband...Don Morrison...the love of my life...💔
I believe this song was in the film "As Good As It Gets" starring Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt (which would be a good film for their movie channel). The song was in the film when Jack was putting in a tape in his car with this song on it. Jack, Helen Hunt and Greg Kinnear were taking a road trip together. I love this song and Van Morrison is an amazing artist. Also, if you haven't seen "As Good As It Gets" I would definitely recommend it. Nicholson and Hunt both won Lead Actor and Actress Academy Awards for this film which is the last time this happened.
Van had been performing around 30 years when this came out. The backing vocalist is a guy called Brian Kennedy who has had his own music career since he was a backing singer for Van
"A Sense of Wonder" and "Wild Nights" are also beautiful songs by VM. But! Was just listening to this the other day! Check Van's playing that sax My Man! . He is older here, of course, so voice register is different. So glad you two love Van. Thanks. Very nice reaction!
Van Morrison has so much soul. He is one of my very favorite performers of all time. I got to see him with Etta James if you can imagine when I was probably in 7th grade. Into the mystic was just coming out I believe and it was that to her. He's still rocking it still putting out the great music and I have bought his last couple of albums and love to listen to them. He's got another one coming out next year. And I'm preordering that copy of that. Know, too, that he can play every instrument you hear in his songs.
Van’s “Avalon Sunset” (multi Grammy-winning) album is incredible. My personal favourites from the album are (in no particular order) “Orangefield”, “Daring Night”, & “These Are The Days”. Van sings quite a few songs about our native Belfast/NI, two such songs are the aforementioned Orangefield (the district of East Belfast were he met his first love), it’s a beautiful song, and “Coney Island” , a song which is in the spoken word (NOT sung). A quite unique song that really grows on you. Coney Island is a small community in County Down, Northern Ireland, and the song is about Van and his friends on a day out (driving). Thanks guys. Have a nice sunday. 🙏🏻
His voice IS deeper. He's much, much older than his recordings from the sixties and seventies. It's from 1995. I saw him about 5 years ago and he's now singing a deep baritone but perfectly pitched and soulful was ever. 😁
I've enjoyed this man's music ever since he began singing on records & radio, as we're about the same age. My favorite song by Van Morrison is always gonna be 'Tupelo Honey'. Hopefully, you can react to that one soon. Love y'all!
You're getting into later Van -- with many healing, depths of the heart and soul, almost spiritual songs... "De Ye Get Healed" ... "The Healing Game" ... "Queen of the Slipstream"... "In the Afternoon".... Perfect Van for chilly late fall days. And whiskey. Or red wine. 😊
Day's Like This came off Van Morison's twenty third studio album released in 1995. This is one of my favorite albums. This song I'm suggesting, is a live performance by Van Morison playing a song he wrote and is on his 1968 album "Astral Weeks" "Van Morison - Cypress Avenue 9/23/1970, Fillmore East, New York, NY (Official)" you can definitely hear the fusion of jazz and blues in most of Van Morison's style of music. He and Leon Russel were similar in style that way. Lovely reaction🔥💖🎶🤗
@@tcarnold6425 yes I believe Precious Time was on his 1999 album "Back on Top" which I agree with you is another great song. I just thought going back to his earlier stuff would be cool too👍
I did a road trip through the Midwest last summer and this song was heavily featured on that playlist. This is a windows down, hand out the window kind of song. Trust me 😎
This is very much modern Van Morrison, from 1995. Brown Eyed Girl was 1967 and Into the Mystic was 1971. His 1999 album Back on Top may be his best modern album, but he continues to release them every year or two.
This song was released in 1995. Another masterpiece by Van, beautifully produced with great horn presence. One of Van's favourite tunes to perform in concert. It was the official Anthem of the Peace Movement in Northern Ireland, along with "Brown Eyed Girl" when they were hoping for cease fire. Just lovely. Great reaction. Buckets of Maple Syrup love from Canada ❤️❤️ 🇨🇦 🇨🇦
Van Morrison has a wonderful song, one of my favorites called "Coney Island". When I say song it's a piece of poetry spoken over beautiful music, that inspires wonderful feeling.
A small FYI. The guy with the flowing black hair is Brian Kennedy, another excellent Belfast singer. Here's one of his songs, Put the message in the box th-cam.com/video/APnX1tAPUuc/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=BrianKennedyVEVO
Well of course the song structure and his voice sound different from the two songs you mentioned. "Brown Eyed Girl" Van was 21 years old "Into the Mystic" Van was 24 "Days Like This" Van was 49
Reminds me of the movie "As Good As It Gets". Jack Nicholson tried to 'get the girl' by putting this song on a mixtape for their road trip. Great movie, perhaps worthy of your next movie review! Star studded cast with at least three or four story lines that would be great movies by themselves.
Days like this is Van putting a little spin on that particular saying - it usually means when we have a rotten day and we all shrug our shoulders and say 'There's always going to be days like this ' but the twist in Van's song is he's describing the perfect day when everything is going your way and the negatives aren't coming around for dinner tonight so everything is sweet. Van does mention some negatives and makes us feel good because on this particular day we know we're safe from them . Maybe it's not even a day as such but a perfect moment or a perfect afternoon or listening to a perfect song (maybe that's why we feel safe and free from worries when we hear good music because during the time when we let the music take us away we're having a 'day like this ').
Van the Man is as soulful as you get. Song after great song he brings out every emotion in everybody. Try reacting to Moondance and The Brightside of The Road if you haven’t done those yet.
This was my mother son dance song at my wedding, my mom says that I ruined this song for her cause she cries every time she hears it lol. Such an amazing song!
Nice reaction, glad to see this song get attention. I think this is from the late 1980s or the 1990s and arguably the era of Van Morrison being at the top of his game, adding more Irish soul, jazz and blues into his music. His songs from the 1970s are the most well known. This is a plug to explore his later stuff too. For example, the song Rough God Goes Riding features the horns and great vocal harmonies with Brian Kennedy as do many others made with the band featured in this video.
You like songs for the human spirit - bless you - you’ve got soul lady - this mans music over 60 years has touched many, many human spirits - welcome to the world of Van 🙏
The legendary Robert Palmer did a live video, very similar to this one, for his greatest love song, 'She makes my day', complete with orchestral backing, & three great, soulful, backing singers. If you never experience it, you're missing a classic!
Dweller on the threshold is one of my favourites, definitely a track to react to that people don’t mention enough. Sweet thing is one of the best songs ever written too, tbh he never made a bad song. Absolute legend, lucky enough to see him live and he’s incredible.
He's fantastic..............my daughter compiled a disc for me that had his song "Satisfied" on it.........loved it, but very different than his earlier hits.
Suggestion for an 80's artist, Elvis Costello. He has many great songs. One of my favorites is She. It's from the movie Notting Hill. It's soft and romantic and his voice shows a lot emotion.
Van's ALL TIME best performance you have to react to is definitely His version of "Caravan" Live from The Last Waltz. No other live performance comes close to what he did there. Another great one to react to is "It's all in the Game / You know what they're writing about" Live at the Grand Opera House Belfast. Just so smooth and electric at the same time.
"Someone like you" is a song that makes you feel like you're in love. Van is the best! Btw, his music has been used in a lot of movies, over the closing and even sometimes over the opening credits, especially romantic movies. The movie Belfast the entire soundtrack is Van Morrison siince he's Irish.
I'll Be Your Lover Too is probably the best song he EVER recorded. It's from pretty early in his career and is one of his lesser known numbers, but it is AMAZING, it really deseerves SO MUCH more love than it gets.
The gentleman singing harmony with Mr Morrison is Brian Kennedy. He is a brilliant voice in his own right. Sometime check out Brian singing Tupelo Honey, going into Why Must I Always Explain, which Van sings. it's 🔥🔥🔥🎶🎵
There is nothing sweeter than a hot summer day here in Australia lazily relaxing with a cold drink and Van Morrison Astral Weeks playing in the background. He can make me drift off to another place. Ty guys do more Van the Man! I very highly recommend a very rare one for all who love Van called "Across The Bridge Where Angels Dwell" my all time favourite. Keep Safe Keep Strong 🦘🦘🦘🦘🎶🎶🎶🎶
Van Morrison has no bad songs. Good vibes all day long.
Fact's
I love Van Morrison's Crazy Love. I also like the song he wrote as a teen and performed as the lead vocal for the band, "Them." It's the ultimate garage band song and has been covered my many artists. I think both of these songs warrant a reaction video.
Preach!
And he has so many great songs. These Are the Days is currently my favorite.
I made a mixtape or whatevr its calld on here of all favorite of his
Van Morrison:
"Jackie Wilson Said", "Brown Eyed Girl", " And It Stoned Me", "Domino", " Into The Mystic", "Moondance"," Tupelo Honey", "Caravan", " Wild Night", "Real,Real Gone"/
And the entire, " Astral Weeks" album is a landmark recording.
fyi, They've reacted to Tupelo Honey, Moondance, Brown Eyed Girl and Into The Mystic.
And the little known "I'll Be Your Lover Too" that played at the end of the movie "Proof of Life". I love that song.
I love them all but,
“It stoned me” is my all time favourite and I know you guys will love it too 💜🌈🙏🏻
Once in a Blue Moon is one of my favs :) ooo Hungry for Your Love is good too...
This is a song you play at the end of a bad day, dancing outside with this kids. Just appreciate the most basic and vital thing to us, family & love.
This is laying on a hammock, looking at the sky and sipping lemonade song. When I was a teenager, my grandmother told me that my life is a big book and this was just a chapter. I still try to remember that when hitting down times.
❤️
Your grandma was a wise and loving woman...❤️
You will love Van Morrison’s “Astral Weeks” - seven minutes of musical bliss.
❤️, he’s fantastic! Also props to Brian Kennedy who sings along with Van, he’s great, the band is great. Just a great song!!!!
I love this song and also These Are the Days. Nostalgic. His voice is so beautiful….❤
Very spiritual song, These are the Days. Always makes me teary
I've been a fan of Van for a long time but just recently discovered this song. Blown away! Don't know how I missed it for so long.
Always loved his voice. Also love everyone's suggestions of Tupelo Honey, Moondance, Brown Eyed Girl, etc. Years later I heard him singing with his grown daughter and it was absolutely beautiful, she has such a pure voice when singing with him. Great music.
Side B of Into The Music, when the LP was released the comment from the Rolling Stone reviewer was the best ever.
Try “It Stoned Me” and “Moondance”, to of Van’s strongest songs. You won’t be disappointed! You are doing a good job. It’s fun watching you hear songs for the first time. It reminds me of when I heard them for the first time on FM radio when they were released!

“Blue Money”...yes...something a little different from Van...
“Into the Mystic” owns my soul...and makes me ache for my late husband...Don Morrison...the love of my life...💔
"Here Comes the Night" is a favorite of mine
Good call Sylvia, but you forgot my favorite early Van (also a Them song) - Here Comes The Night
@@tec52 mine too!
Here comes the night😃
Oh boy. Can never go wrong with any of his tunes. It is called Celtic soul. He is much older in this video. Continues to perform and tour, too.
Great movie!!
Truth!!! One of my all time favorite movies. :)
Van had been performing around 30 years when this came out. The backing vocalist is a guy called Brian Kennedy who has had his own music career since he was a backing singer for Van
Van has an extensive catalog of music. Blues,Gospel, Jazz, Soft Rock, Irish Folk.
Great song with the outstanding Belfast artist Brian Kennedy backing vocals through the whole album, Brian sang for the president in the white house
My favorite Van Morrison songs are
Moondance, Tupelo Honey & Into The Mystic. Everything he does touches your soul.
Crazy Love is my favorite Van Morrison song. Such a happy love song.
Yes indeed. A beautiful love song.
Van is the man! Fantastic singer with so many great songs. 💞
"A Sense of Wonder" and "Wild Nights" are also beautiful songs by VM. But! Was just listening to this the other day! Check Van's playing that sax My Man! . He is older here, of course, so voice register is different. So glad you two love Van. Thanks. Very nice reaction!

Van Morrison is a musical genius
Can't believe how many "reactors" have failed to feature this legend. Happy that you guys have caught up with him again.
Every Van song is a masterpiece.
I’ll always remember it in the 90s as the anthem for the peace movement in Northern Ireland
Jay /Amber, you'll love his "Wavelength", "Domino" and "Wild Night"!!! Time for more faster paced Van The Man!!
I second Wild Night.👍
Wavelength is the bomb.
Van’s “Avalon Sunset” (multi Grammy-winning) album is incredible.
My personal favourites from the album are (in no particular order) “Orangefield”, “Daring Night”, & “These Are The Days”.

Love this!! His voice and words!
Van just has a vibe and groove that just makes me want to dance with special someone. So very good.
Sometimes we cry is a great song by Van the Man Morrison
It's mellow, and lifts your spirits at the same time. Van Morrison is musical magic!
GREAT SONGS . ALWAYS LIKED HIS MUSIC. DEFINITELY HAS A UNIQUE VOICE. LOVE HIS MUSIC.
Love y'all!
they reacted to TUPELO HONEY about 6 to 12 weeks ago (maybe) it has been rather recent. it is definitely worth looking up! 👍😃👍
I saw him live in Vegas in 2022 and he’s AMAZING. A straight up BADASS!
Have you done Tupelo Honey yet, can't remember. Another gorgeous VM tune.
This song is new to me and it is utter perfection
“Tupelo Honey” has gotta be next guys, you’ll love this beautiful tune by Van!
His duet with Cliff Richard “Whenever God Shines His Light” is worth a listen.
We need more music "like this".
Day's Like This came off Van Morison's twenty third studio album released in 1995. This is one of my favorite albums. About the same time as Precious Time - a great era for Van the Man 👌
@@tcarnold6425 yes I believe Precious Time was on his 1999 album "Back on Top" which I agree with you is another great song. I just thought going back to his earlier stuff would be cool too👍
I love his duets album. Van and Howling Wolf doing Gloria, Lonny Donegan is on it, Ray Charles and so many others
His song In The Days Before Rock 'n' Roll is another unique song
I did a road trip through the Midwest last summer and this song was heavily featured on that playlist. This is a windows down, hand out the window kind of song. Trust me 😎

Yes!!!! My favorite from him 😍 It never fails to make you smile.
Tupelo Honey next please!
Other van Morrison songs to look into: “Jackie Wilson Said”. “St Dominic’s Preview,” “And it Stoned Me,” “Domino,” “Caravan.”
Thanks fir another reaction to the great Van Morrison. I think you would love Tupelo Honey. It is truly unique. Love your reactions.
This song was released in 1995. Another masterpiece by Van, beautifully produced with great horn presence. One of Van's favourite tunes to perform in concert.

Into the Mystic....Browneyed girl....alot of his hits were in movies too....I listen to his music all the time
I keep looking for Joan Armatrading 💙. Amazing singer song writer, Water with the wine, Affection, one of these 2 to start with. You will love her
He has soul and is always good ❤❤
Wavelength is a must!!
As he gets balder and rounder, his voice gets richer and smoother. Van is The Man.
Van has slimmed down.
Van Morrison has a deep American Soul that just happened to be born in Belfast. ✌️
Van Morrison has a wonderful song, one of my favorites called "Coney Island". When I say song it's a piece of poetry spoken over beautiful music, that inspires wonderful feeling.
I'm old and have never heard this song. I love it! Thanks for your reaction.
Van is in a class by himself. Such a unique, soulful voice! Check out “Have I Told You Lately That I Love You “ and “The Healing Game”

So many good songs from this man. Love his music so much.
I particularly love "Full Force Gale" and "Cleaning Windows".
IK OOK LOVE VAN THE MORRISON!!
Great choice. U guys should give John Hiatt a listen. Either Feels like rain or Have a little faith in me. U won't regret It.
Great tune. I recommend "Wild Night" for your next one.
I totally forgot about that song but yea Wild Night is a great one.
Love this song so much 🥰
Van the Man is as soulful as you get.
The movie “Belfast” includes Van Morrison songs. Well done and placed. Recommend.
Nice reaction, glad to see this song get attention.

Van The Man...he's pure gold either way you look at it .
He’s looking very old in this video, but his voice still has perfect pitch! 👏👍❤️
Yes ... "a song for the human spirit", doing the best it can, day by day ...
Another van tune to check, one of my all time favorites, "cleaning windows".
Van Morrison is legendary.
You like songs for the human spirit - bless you - you’ve got soul lady - this mans music over 60 years has touched many, many human spirits - welcome to the world of Van 🙏
A essential part of Van Morrison's music is the Celtic soul of his Irish ancestry. Check out his album recorded with the Chieftains.
The legendary Robert Palmer did a live video, very similar to this one, for his greatest love song, 'She makes my day', complete with orchestral backing, & three great, soulful, backing singers.

"Wild night" for your next Van Morrison! Thank you

Suggestion for an 80's artist, Elvis Costello. He has many great songs. One of my favorites is She. It's from the movie Notting Hill. It's soft and romantic and his voice shows a lot emotion.

Vans The Best. Been listening to His beautiful music since the 70,s.
Van Morrison is a great musician, songwriter, and he has the greatest voice ever...change my mind...

Sir Van has been with us for almost 60 years! Legend!
I'll Be Your Lover Too is probably the best song he EVER recorded. It's from pretty early in his career and is one of his lesser known numbers, but it is AMAZING, it really deseerves SO MUCH more love than it gets.
When I've gotta have me a little Van, that's the first song I pick. It's hauntingly beautiful.
My favorite Van Morrison song is “Moondance”. It’s definitely another vibe!
It's been driving me crazy because I know this song was in a movie. It took me awhile but I got it. It's in the movie Michael, with John Travalta.
Oh I love Van Morrison. You have to listen to Moondance by him it’s amazing and you would love it❤
You must, must, do Sometimes We Cry great emotional song great lyrics and has thehorns you love!

Van sings in so many styles and kills in them all.
One of my favorite feel good songs.
This was the song my son and I danced to at his wedding, almost 6 years ago
