"I've been running 30 blocks just to find a door to enter through"
Lmao that deserved way more
This clip proves that Kramer was using the n word as a term of endearment in that comedy club.
Yeah, I think it didn't get a reaction because it was hard to hear what they were saying, but it's pretty funny if you heard it
Kramer always has some over-the-top slapstick entrance in the show, they were making a joke about that. For what it's worth, it cracked me up.@@jamesjameson4566
That dude doing George nailed it.
That’s Jay Leggett, he had a few bit parts but his best known works “Without A Paddle” “Employee of the Month” (the 2004 film, not the 2006 film with Dane Cook), were as a writer/producer/director. He passed from a heart attack in 2013.
Carrey has that very unique ability to portray people like a cartoon. It's actually crazy.
He has said in interviews one of his favorite inspirations was Bugs Bunny
Gave me a feeling of a Lucas Arts click and play game from early 90s. Nostalgia.
"WHY are black guys so protective ooooOOoOoOooooof their mothers?"
That is likely an actual routine Seinfeld would do, considering how he jokes about his mother, especially on the show. It's indeed a stereotype that black guys are very protective of their mothers while Jewish guys wish their mothers would just die already.
@@anthonyvasquezactorit's because many black men were raised by single mothers.
“Project?! What teacher assigned this project?”
😂
“And what’s the deal with grades?
A, B, or C?
Didn’t we already learn to spell in grade 1?”
if snl was cocaine, in living color was crack. cheaper, stronger, and more addictive
MadTV was awesome too. SNL sucks in comparison. YOu watch one skit where the actors are reading cue cards, then 5 commercials, then a band, then another skit. Garbage.
In Living Color was ahead of its time. A massively underrated show.
Very much so! The FOX network had it's SNL for years to come and they blew it!
@@nickchislom9499And so much better than SNL too. I can't get into that.
Underrated? There was nothing underrated about it, in Jr. High up to High School every teen talked about it all the time when watching a new episode.
I grew up in the 90s but never saw this skit until today. It's comedy gold. I about peed my pants in laughter.
It's so amazing, the amount of content from that time that we can still discover.
Being a HUGE Seinfeld AND Jim Carrey fan, this does it for me....love it! The George was great.
@@mirellalastar you don’t find Seinfeld funny? You must like Martin! 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
@@SonnyGTA this comment is dumb as fuck. Both shows are outstanding comedies? Martin and Seinfeld are 90s classics. Fuck off with that stupid opinion of yours.
The parody bass guitar just has me in stitches. 😂
I LOVE that Jim Carey’s impression is surreal and not just mimicry. The other ILC actors sorta take the same approach. That’s what makes it 20x funnier than your average SNL skit, because they were not just going for broad humor, they were actually just fucking weird 😂😂.
Dana Carvey's impressions have similar qualities. It's like he's doing cartoon versions of his subects. He's less interested in doing spot-on celebrity impressions, and he's more interested in having fun and creating entirely new characters with his impressions. Dana Carvey prioritizes comedy over accuracy, and his impressions are often very funny.
In contrast, when Jay Pharaoh does Eddie Murphy, he becomes Eddie Murphy. He prioritizes accuracy, and his impressions are extremely good, but they're usually more amusing than they are, laughing out loud, funny.
Jim Carrey's impressions are more like Dana Carvey's. Jim prioritizes being funny, creative, and way over the top.
In this case, Jim Carrey turned Jerry Seinfeld into some kind of freakish space alien, who will never understand humans, no matter how hard he tries or for how long he observes them, because he's simply not a human. As you said, Jim's impression was totally surreal. It was also brilliant and hilarious.
@@skybluemarshall Good explanation but I prefer the spot-on's like Jay Pharoah and Darrell Hammond.
This is right on! Explains why I usually preferred ILC over SNL. I'm also fucking weird. 😅
A black kramer...the irony is stunning.
gooby pls What did you do? All you did was a type a typical shit comment.
TheStopShort some say that it was this very sketch that turned his heart "Black" 😂 Pun Intended
That kramer joke has aged like fine wine
@@elorrambasdo5233years ago Kramer was heckled and didn’t take it well, resulting in him “cursing out” a couple.
I kinda felt bad for Kramer, he was probably going through some things in his personal life and it came to head that night...
He absolutely 🙃 flipped out..
Always loved him in Seinfeld, one of f not the best physical comedians of this generation...
I dont liook at him any differently despite how he behaved that nighr, I still rock with his comedy when I watch Seinfeld reruns.. we all err in life.
The original ASSMAN😆
“I’ve been running for thirty blocks just to find a door to enter through”. Now that’s gold Jerry, GOLD! 🤣🤣🤣
Jim Carrey, Jamie Foxx and Tommy Davidson should do a reunion show!!! 🤣
golden costanza impression
Jerry still spitting out jokes as he's getting carried away lmfao
The George guy freakin killed it!
Jim's Seinfeld impersonation is great, but that guy playing George was KILLING it.
Impressions are all about picking out the unique parts of a person/character and then exploiting them, which Jim Carrey does better than most even when he's WAY overdoing it (of which this clip is a good example). With that being said, I laughed so hard at how exactly spot on George was here.
I know... Stupidest TH-cam rant of all time, but Daps had to be given to George for making me laugh out loud by myself.
+ASocialCJ No, for real. I thought the same thing. George was really perfect. He studied Jason Alexander well. Nothing bad to say about Jim, but I liked George better.
+ASocialCJ Completely agree and I wish I knew who´s that guy and they should give credits to that guy too
David Pace What is the name of the guy playing George in this skit?
Jim is doing more of a characature than an impression which is often funnier than a straight up impression
The actor playing George looks more like Newman to me.
Maître Renard what the hell are you talking about? George looks like Newman in your opinion? This is a parody of the show, not the show itself. It won't be perfect. The mannerisms, voices of the characters are dead on, its pretty damn impressive.
Agreed, and his impression was crap. Completely missed the New York accent that George had.
"What teacher assigned this project? Looking at the state of it, I hope they're grading on a curve." 🤣🤣🤣 Jim Carrey is gold
"You're in the projects"......"project? What teacher assigned this project?" 😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄
this imitation is spot on he always hangs his mouth open like that
@@narghora I'm replying to your 8 year old comment. It's like Newman and Constanza had a baby
"Whos the Bum what's the Rush, why would a bum be in a Hurry?!?! they have nowhere to go" .....that still sticks with me 20 years after this got broadcast
There will never be another show like In Living Color. One of the most memorable theme songs as a kid.
I wish this was a real spinoff of Seinfeld. I'd love a full season of this. Jim Carrey is amazing.
@@WhiteCheddar. Is still amazing to me. This is my opinion, and "was" is yours. Both these opinions can coexist in reality my friend, so please stop speaking to other people as if your opinion is fact for all, and not fact for just you. Look up the word narcissist.
Damn this man Jerry Seinfeld had the gall to go to the blackest hood in NYC at 3am and make black jokes. The balls on this man.
@@MNTPWR29416 when?? I know he said it during that rant but on tv?? I call bs
@@wastedtalent666 the live tv comment was bs but he did say it on recording
@@MNTPWR29416 He said it during a set he was bombing in a comedy club, there was supposed to be no recording allowed. Of course that doesn't make any of what he said ok.
I watch a whole episode of that show of Jerry driving cars and talking to comedians with Jim and they never menctioned this treasure!
Comedy like this DOES NOT EXIST anymore. Living Color was best of all time.
"You honkeys are on your own"
Wasn't a well executed line but imagining Kramer saying it makes me laugh
They needed to say something like "Giddddy-UP!" at the end. Point an wiggle their hand a bit. Than it may feel more authentic...
Jim Carey is amazing in this skit yes, but the guy who plays George, Jay Leggett (RIP) is severely underrated. He completed it.
great Costanza lol
elroy facey Kind of. But he played up the laughing and stuttering way too much.
its an impression of an impression since the character was based on larry david.
the real costanza character wouldve been running.
These are some of the best Seinfeld jokes Jerry never told. "Whyyy, do they call it Bumrushing? Who's the bum? What's the rush?"
These are gold, Jerry! Gold!!
Some the best "Seinfeld" jokes are from the SNL skit "Stand Up And Win." Such as "What's the deal with airline food?"
The bum rush rant actually makes sense. This is what some guys don't get, when you're doing an impression it has to sound like something the character would say, it's not enough to just do the voice.
That friggin' music at the beginning. Perfection. It's one thing I love about parodies is when they do a mock up of the original music, but this here takes the cake, had me in stitches. Jim Carrey and Jay Leggett here, priceless.
Whoever wrote Jim's script did an excellent job of mimicking Jerry's jokes.
We need this form of entertainment back
There’s plenty of talent out there, but they don’t rise to fame because merit isn’t the deciding factor anymore.
It's too bad Jim Carrey went bonkers. I just hope he doesn't go the way of Robin Williams from this point.
That missing sock joke is gold. Jamie killed it.
jerry had a joke about socks planning to "escape" in the dryer going back to the 80s

I love that this kind of stuff can pop up in your feed out of now where...
Jim Carrey is the most underrated actor ever
Are you like 12 or do you not understand what "underrated" means? Where have you been for the past 25 years, Jim Carrey is one of the most legendary comedic actors of all time.
That being said, no one remembers how Jamie Foxx actually won an Oscar for playing Ray Charles...
This is freaking BRILLIANT 🤣🤣🤣 the guy playing George is amazing.
In Living Colour was pure joy to watch growing up. Loved it so much. ❤ 🙏
how have i never seen this sketch before??
Beautiful 😁
The guy playing George is amazing
Man there were some legendary comedic actors on this show, but it seems like Tommy Davidson was able to totally lose himself in every single silly role he played. Much respect.
Man he was good. Left that show a little too early i think. In the first episodes they had Damon Wayans, Jim Carrey, Tommy Davidson, Jaime Foxx, Keenan, David Alan Grier, etc.
Unbelievable. And yeah, Tommy Davidson stands out. In THAT group. What a cast all around
@@ulubulu_ "In Living Color"
A Wayans Production.
Jim Carrey's first break after the movie "Once Bitten" flopped.
Finally, others who see Jerry like I do 😂
"Whyyyyyy do they caaaaaaall it a BUMRUSH? Where's the bum? What's the rush?" LOL
Love how he's doing a George impression that's based off Larry David. So it's like an impression of an impression. Tommy Davidson's high pitched voice completed the quadruple killer act for me. Behold talent who knew how to give stage and take it. You won't see this kind of thing ever again. Cemented.
Actually, Jason said he originally decided to play George as an over-the-top Woody Allen and didn't realise straight away the character was based on Larry.
Sometimes I forget how incredibly talented Jim Carrey is.
That joke about the projects is super underrated
The random slapping of Costanza's hand was the best part.
I can watch this without sound and still Jim’s face expressions have me rolling.
I’m currently watching all of Jerry Seinfeld on Netflix so this is just gold 😂
That George impression was haunting in its amazingness
Just an entire spoof season of this version of Seinfeld I'd binge watch it big time. 😂
Perfectly over the top.
It's have. You don't make without having. Nice try trying to catch a black man on English whitey. Next time think before you speak. I know your language better than you.
You're both arguing over nothing of importance, you realize. Wise up, both of you
The point is they have them. That's all they have. Think.
And second guy, fuck you
" What is.....the deal?!" Lmao 🤣🤣
The comedic talent on this show was legendary
I remember watching this with my mom when I was a kid and she was laughing so hard but I didn't get it at all, being I wasn't really familiar with Seinfeld yet. Now that I'm older, I'm glad I came across this because its hilarious, especially now that I get what Jim was making fun of about Jerry.
Seinfeld was kind of an obscure show the first few seasons in the 90s. It had respectable, but mediocre ratings. A small group of fans. Season 4 in 1993, the show was moved to Must See Thursdays. That move and when they started showing reruns shot it straight to #1 and became THE tv show of the 90s. This skit was shot in 1993, right when Seinfeld was starting to become a household name.
I'm impressed by the short woman giving a perfect Kramer impression
As a Seinfeld fan i love this cant believe i never seen it
He does a great Seinfeld but the gold is in the writing that's where the impression gets it's legged. They delivered jokes that were 80-90% spot on of the way Seinfeld does segways.
I never knew Jim could do a Seinfeld impression. It was good. But the guy playing George was excellent. Also another guy who does a great George/Jerry/Kramer/Newman is Frank Caliendo who I had the pleasure of meeting back in 2007.
That bum rush joke is gold.
Rumor has it that Jerry blackballed and bad mouthed In Living color for a decade after this skit... Jason Alexander thought it was hilarious
“I said lets take a cab. But ^no, No, you didn’t want to take a cab. Mr no cab, mr King of the no cabs 👐🏻”
🤣 this is perfect George
"I have been running for 30 blocks to find a door to enter through" 😆
I remember watching this as a kid and I never watched Seinfeld at the time and this was STILL hilarious
Me too, I used to watch Living Color when I was little and thought it was hilarious even though I didn't get the references. I thought it was funny because the acting and writing was so crazy and over the top lol.
