A short demo and review of the Harley Benton ST-20HH Active SBK guitar. Thus is a budget guitar featuring active pick ups. It’s only sold through Thomann Music located in Germany.
thanks! i needed a opinon on this guitar from a long time player. ill be buying this guitar and throwing in just about everything i can upgrade but the neck and body! going to be my first real project guitar.
You should look into other reviews of this model. There is a problem with the hardware coating, which results in the ground connection to the bridge being weak/none. Fixing this should allow the guitar to handle high gain much better.
Yeah, their switches and stuff are cheap, but easy to fix if you happen to get a bad one, or it craps out after the warranty. I just fix mine when something goes south. Had it happen to my Fenders too. I have two HBs and overall build quality and playability is pretty good. Especially for the price. It plays as nice as one of my $900.00 Fenders. At under $200.00 the Harley Benton is a good guitar.
Hello. Good sound from a budget guitar. The clean sound from the neck pick was just amazing 🤩
Thanks for watching

I was not aware of that. The preamp on this particular guitar produces a full sound from the piezo.
I bought the JA version of this guitar. The ground at the bridge is the first thing I will check.
Hello sir need harley benton 550II electric guitar
Have you checked out the SC-550 plus EMG?
@@johndesrosier1672 yes but I am interested in harley benton 550II tesla pick up model
2x AA batteries not 9v?
One of 9v
My mistake one 9 volt.
Seems like Jim Root's Strat Signature
walmart version for sure
Don’t understand why the Root costs 10 times the price of this HB.
Because the quality on the fender is higher common sense.
@@tommillan3582Fender name.
@@jameshealy4978yes, of course.
But 10 times More costly?
It's a no for me. 😊
