  • Welcome to this free English class about cleaning your home! One of the most enjoyable things in life is a clean home. One of the most annoying things in life is cleaning your home (at least for some of us!) The fact is that most of use make a mess as we live our life, and we need to clean it up.
Since cleaning is such a big part of our lives, it's a good idea as you learn English to make sure you know how to talk about cleaning. In this English lesson I'll help you learn words and phrases that you can use to talk about cleaning in you next English conversation.
In this lesson you'll learn words and phrases like: squeegee, toilet bowl cleaner, neat and tidy, attachments, duster, custodian, do the laundry, clean the house, clean your room, tidy up, wash the windows, shake out the rug, house cleaner, janitor, and more!
Thanks for watching this English class about cleaning! I hope you have a great day!
⌛ Remember: Always watch the video three times. Twice today with English subtitles on, and once tomorrow with the English subtitles off. This will reinforce the English you have learned!

Hi, Bob I like how you deliver your lessons. Combining new vocabulary with your life is much more interesting for a listener. I get engaged just after a couple of seconds. Displaying new words in bold on a separate board is a very effective way to teach and helps remember them. I am grateful for your effort, and I wish you continuous inspiration.

This is a tough lesson, agree with me. I paused this lesson at least 4 times, 1st I sweeped floor, then moped floor, then did my laundry, finally I thought I could sit down and watch the lesson to the end, but Bob soon reminded me it's time to hang up it.....It cost me nearly 2 hours to finish this 22 minuts video)))))))

It's really hard to judge that, but the truth is in our country, every person should be really diligent.

It can turn on the headlights in dark corners. After mopping some part of floor, it automatically go back the base to take out the trash, clean the mop, change clear water, keep mopping until done.

JSYK, janitor and custodian are synonymous: the first word is pejorative, so we are supposed to use the second one to refer to this job. I was told this difference by a Canadian teacher who has to educate her students to call the cleaner “custodian”.
