He should of been more pro active with SB instead of reactive. It also hurts that he played the cradle a turn early and got it wasted before using it. I've made that mistake and it feels bad.
Haha right. Legacy elves is kinda tricky to play so it really rewards the reps Reid has put in to the deck. Personally I wish it were more like modern or pioneer elves where it's basically just stick a few lords and try to race.

"opponent is deep in the tank" always makes me laugh out loud, LSV has been saying that for years. The most polite way to say they're slow to find the correct line of play, lol.

I dusted of my deck after this vid and just went 6-1 an won first place at our local monthly legacy gathering! i was very confused over all the different fiend lists but going back to the more old school payed of! had a few natural order resolves i real did wish i had atraxa as an option and a second grist and 3de once upon would probably make atraxa pay of more consistent
Noob Legacy player but I don't think Priest of Titania is really playable at the moment. Most of the elves played can tap for mana on the turn they're played which really makes the deck go
People ran them in the old Elves deck ages ago, which iirc used Staff of Domination and was an infinite combo deck. I could be wrong, but I think people sometimes play decks like that in Modern still, but you can't use Priest in Modern! There are probably much better untap decks you can build. The reason it's not run in a deck like this is that it has zero synergy with the deck, 2 mana is a ton for a creature in this type of deck, and if all you're likely to use it for is to have some other elf tap it for mana then you're better off running a bunch of vanilla 1 drops as long as they're elves. The deck wants to use elves for mana the turn you cast them to combo. Also, Legacy Elves is technically a Turn 2 combo deck, Staff based Elves decks are almost impossible to make that fast. I would say that if your area is lighter on removal you could do okay with a Priest based deck, but you're going to be missing out on so many great things from this build that it feels incredibly sub-optimal (I feel degenerate when I refer to my turn 3 elves deck as 'too slow', but it is), and vs removal you're pretty close to scooping if you lose a single dork so the deck doesn't feel very consistent in practice. That said, it's a blast to play and you can generate some crazy-but-finite amounts of mana very easily, and you'll have a more unique build if that cheers you up.

Getting 2-3x Reid videos a day is just a wonderful new year surprise. So easy to listen to in the background while I do other things.
The problem is -- Reid Duke ALWAYS thinks Legacy Elves is so strong because ... they're in Reid Duke's hands.
It's also such a technical deck that in the hands of the right pilot, it's that much better

Hey! I'm not a MTG player, I was a lousy player when I was a kid. Question, Reid fans: Where is Priest of Titania if not in a deck like this?

A two-mana dork that can’t use its ability the turn it comes down is pretty much unplayable in legacy.
Check out a format called Premodern, where Elves is a Tier 1 deck in the format and plays 4 of them!
