I just discovered this band in the middle of this year. They have literally helped me through 2020. Their songs just speak so well to what's happening right now. Truly timeless stuff.
Shawn and Trey, you both gave excellent insight into the meaning of the song such as the economy of war and the benefit of hindsight. I felt like I was given a short History lesson listening to you guys. You guys went into some deep discussion explaining the lyrics. Well said. I also like the mention of Dylan's Master Of War. History repeats itself and war still rages on.
The principle songwriters are Brett Gurewitz (guitarist) and Greg Graffing (singer). The more overtly political songs are typically written by Brett Gurewitz.
Just had to let y'all know that, around the time this came out, there was a lot of anti-war sentiment in the punk community. As a matter of fact, this song was on one of the two Rock Against Bush CDs.
If you're looking to get into punk, can't go wrong with the Descendents' "'Merican", NOFX's "Don't Call Me White", "The Brews", "Perfect Government", and "Murder the Government" (to start), Social Distortion's "Ball and Chain" and "Story of My Life", Rancid's whole "And Out Come the Wolves" album. Then, if you like a ska twist, Operation Ivy, Goldfinger, Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish, and Streetlight Manifesto should keep you occupied and entertained for... ever, pretty much. :)

Welcome. Hopefully someday soon we'll see you at one of their shows.
I've been loving that band for ages. Glad to see people are still discovering them. Enjoy and a hint: watch them play live !!! ;)
You should go buy some merch dude and support the band. Or some epitaph merch even. Sure Brett could use it.

This whole album is killer! My favorite out of it would be "All there is"
