Happy Birthday Jerry on 70 wait till you hit 100,LOL! Im a little older born in 1952.,,,, Was a great time for us to be born & grow up. Wouldnt change a thing if I could. My Dad had a Italian restaurant in Suburbs in NY for many years where I worked as a 12 year old pizza kid ,LOL! Glenn
Jerry, in order to get your pipe to slide inside one another, subtract the circumferences, you will have to remove 1.2 inches from the larger pipe and reshape. In your case your diameters are 6.625 inch, and 6.250. Radius would be 3.3125, and 3.125 therefore, circumferences would be 20.81305 and 19.63495, subtracting the two circumferences equals 1.1955. add a bit more to make it slide easily. Happy Birthday and good luck!!!
Jerry, My math says a perfect fit has you cutting; 1 11/64 off the circumference. Obviously you want clearance so cut accordingly. I would cut a small piece and try it before you go cutting the final part. Brian Orr
The 1/8" inch cut, out of the pipe may be "correct" but it will, probably, be a zero clearance, friction fit. Because, the Chat GPT was reducing the outside diameter, to the inside diameter. 😷✌🖖
Wondering why you don't place the blade in a stationary position at the end of the shoot and have the wood/log pushed toward the blade with a forceful hydraulic slide? Example: th-cam.com/video/cwinyQvnoQI/w-d-xo.html
Happy Birthday Jerry.

Happy Birthday, Jerry!
Be careful when you cut the pipe it will spread out , it won't be round when you put it back together.
