Don't try and argue with any of the Horowitz's lovers. Some of these people think the man was God. Regardless, there have been others that play as well (admit it or not). Maybe not better but as well (sorry that you single minded people wont give credit where its due). This man does an exceptional job..
We have gotten to the point where higher end digital pianos sound better than middle tier acoustic pianos, and do so consistently. Technology marches on.
By far one of the best interpretations i have ever heard. This one and Adam Gyorgys interpretation are the best ones on youtube. Both are amazingly well played.
Fantastic sound overall. Very convincing. People forget we are still in the infancy of modelled piano tech. What will a digital piano modeled in 9” concert grand body sound like? I’m sure there will continue to be a niche for acoustic grands in decades to come, but this is the forefront of where it’s going. I own an AvantGrand and though the V-Piano sound can be lifeless and cold at times, the behavior is spot on. Have to give it to Roland.
In my humble opinion - as a Hungarian -, Japanese artists are interpreting this eternal masterpiece the most authentically. I salue you for this level of pianist's education in Japan. Receive all of my admiration for both of those outstanding perfomances like this one (brilliantly smooth technique) and for the great audio-quality as well! It was full of joy to listen. Edit: Oh! He is a Japanese-Hungarian?! That makes more sense. P.s.: Do you use the Kodály-method in Japan?
As a Hungarian... this is excellently played Sir. My only complaint is about the finale. You never do it just once, and not so quickly.. it is supposed to be a symbol for the resilience of the Hungarian people (much like the Japanese) who won't just give in and will keep pushing with full pride as long as our people demand it. And let it ring and fade out. (it=our past glory). Keep playing Hungarian pieces, you're great, and I don't say this about just anyone! edit: also, some of the movements are supposed to illustrate the finest horses prancing, so rhythm should be less even, more like a horse, but I understand that's super hard to keep.
I've known that this was the best digital piano I'd ever heard, ever since listening to this performance on video. The "grand" version is in my opinion superior to the regular stage piano version. But either one is better than the vast majority of sampled digital pianos. I had a guy from Guitar Center try to sell me on the idea that a Suzuki digital grand was just as good, but he clearly doesn't know what he's talking about. $20K is expensive, but still very affordable compared to Fazioli.
Pretty good, but I thought Bugs Bunny's interpretation had more energy...he just came with more passion. I mean, he shot a man just for coughing. The mouse was great, too.
The proof would be to hear it from the back of the performance hall. Or even with a full audience. I know the tech is great but what about the speaker system and its ability to fill an auditorium.
@@rexananoerf Every digital piano is a digital grand, except for Yamaha NU1. They all try to replicate the grand piano key action. Putting speakers on the back of a grand cabinet only make the sound projection a little bit different. Tone is the same as in Roland's upright design cabinets, for instance.
At this price and size and really don't see the point of a DP. The only point is for roland to show how good is their technology, and yes it's pretty damn good but I wonder if anyone buys this instead of an acoustic grand, or a cheaper digital with great action.
The RD800 is close enough, it's based off a sample of the V-piano grand (dunno why they dont directly use the modelled sound instead). In the RD-2000, I think this sounds closest to "Mellow Concert", or Concert Grand with -2 character
Eventually symphony orchestras will start using them when an artist like this sounds so good on it and travels with his own. There are many advantages to these pianos (they stay in regulation, they stay in tune, etc.) and they, especially Rolands sound like a very well regulated 9 foot piano, better than many. The Roland digital harpsichords are also amazing (I own one) and they can go from standard to old pitch instantly, can play as loud or bright as you like and never need tuning. The feel is truly revolutionary as well. Roland is my favourite digital piano, although there are others nearly as good.
Does sustein pedal on this instrument have any gradations? I mean, the difference in sound when pedal is full-pressed, half-pressed or quarter-pressed (as it is on acoustic grand pianos).
what's the point of having all that grand piano with a digital, are there speakers and does it echo off the wood etc? The guy plays good, I'm not a classical expert, I saw Horowitz and eat as much Dover Sole as I can but...they're all better than me anyway
all the sucker that paid 23000$ usd for that... now that the gp609 is there...with a overall better tech... for 12500$usd... what agreat time to be alive
Just the opposite. Since he was raised in Hungary, he learned the basics of playing the piano from Hungarian music theachers. And his mother / who is Hungarian/ thought the Kodaly method in Japan. This is a Hungarian musical method.
Don't forget that, first and foremost, your brain is aware it isn't a real piano; secondly, you are listening to it through another device; thirdly, performances - even live one these days - tend to have their sound edited to portray a "specific sound," a trademark, if you will... to the point where sometimes it sounds like all Deutschegrammophon artists play on the same studio piano, which can't possibly be true. Every time I go to see a live performance, I am always amazed how differently a recording of a piano or a violin sounds when compared to the real thing. In short, we are slowly losing the sound of what a real 7/9-foot piano sounds like unless we frequent the concert hall or are wealthy enough to have one at home, and this in itself, along with the cheap manufacture that even companies like Steinway have given to (Boston, Essex pianos), will open up the way for these instruments to become the "upright of the 21st century."
Its a decent interpretation overall. Not really feeling it too much. Cziffra owns this piece! It just seems to drag a bit and I lose interest. I played this with a lot more fired myself. But still very clean. Still a solid interpretation.
doesnt really matter what you think, its his interpretation for himself, not for you. a person interpretation is their opinion of the piece and opinions are like assholes everyones got one lmfao
Seemed more of a technical performance than an emotional one, certainly a gifted player but it sounded like he thought playing this piece was a bit of a chore.
bigPianist99 No shit that a real grand sounds more alive. Kawai MP11 doesn't even offer as many customization as the V-Piano. The V-Piano basically lets you build your own custom piano sound from scratch.
raykrislianggi - AniMusic No pianist needs as much customisation. Hey, Im not a "Oldschool is better than technology" kinda guy, more like the opposite, but when it comes down to pure sound and sound Emulation, no current technology can digitally emulate an acoustic piano. The Kawai sounds very synthetic in the upper octaves, but works as a silent practice piano on road trips due to the well built keyboard. But the Roland is even worse: It sounds very static, synthetic, kinda "too perfect" to sound good. And lets not even talk about what acoustic grands you could get at that pricepoint, way to much for what you get btw.
Tone is horrible...there’s still a digital sound and the tone is one dimensional and harsh. If no one told me this was digital, I would have guessed those crappy kawaii metallic pianos
Don't try and argue with any of the Horowitz's lovers. Some of these people think the man was God. Regardless, there have been others that play as well (admit it or not). Maybe not better but as well (sorry that you single minded people wont give credit where its due). This man does an exceptional job..
金子さんは、ハンガリアン狂詩曲をピアノの速度を変化させてこの曲のリズムの小気味良さを際立たせて、メロディの華麗な展開を自在に提示してくれています。そこが堪らない金子ピアニズムです。🎉
We have gotten to the point where higher end digital pianos sound better than middle tier acoustic pianos, and do so consistently. Technology marches on.
Yaaassst
@Suki And a human will never beat a computer at chess. Yours is just wishful thinking.

If I wasn't aware it was a digital piano I would definitely be fooled into thinking I'm hearing and looking at a pianist playing a concert grand! :D
Beautiful rendition of this great Liszt masterpiece. Domo arigato! :-)))

His mother went to Japan precisely to teach the Kodály method. Miyuji was born in Japan but grew up in Hungary. He now lives in Japan again.
@@nerimarosi Thank you very much, for your answer!
That was wonderful!
The old digital pianos r getting good now!
Cheers 🥂
It was a big serenity time to listen you . Wonderful !

What a lovely performance. If only there were roars of applaude after it.
count agree more!!!!
If Franz Liszt watch this interpretation of his own Hungarian Rhapsody, certainly would say: I couldn't do better. Bravo Miyuji Kaneko.
António Faria Listz Was the best pianist Ever he would beber Say that
C'est ce que j'adore chez ce pianiste avoir des jeux extra-ordinaires. Bravo pianiste
wonderfully played!
That was incredible! The best rendition of lust I've ever heard!!
Oh my goodness, wow, amazing thrilling performance! Fantastic.
This was awesome. I'm sad because I can't be there when you come to Hungary in may...

Where did they hide the POWER CORD !?! :) Fantastic ROLAND sound as usual .. and the performance .. well that is in the genius category !
zoltangz1 They’ve stuck car batteries inside!
Really like this interpretation
This sounds much better than my newer Roland LX-7.
best performance i have heard in youtube

mouse laid down that boogie woogie haha
Amazing! Really great!
Maravillosa Interpretación.
best performance. well done!
great performance. played like a true gentelman

Como faço para adquirir um piano desse?
Amazing
FANTASTICO!!!
Amazing, hungarian rhapsody 2 on a digital piano
Actually that is a "Digital Grand Piano"

She must have been Liszt's great great great granddaughter!
Give him a medal
Friska is the best part.
plays well.
Really nice. I would play opening alot more aggressive but thats me :)
I actually don't like how aggressive people play it. This is my favorite version I could find but it's hard to find
갠적으로 헝가리안 랩소디 no.2 중 가장 깔끔하고 듣기좋음...

The RD800 is close enough, it's based off a sample of the V-piano grand (dunno why they dont directly use the modelled sound instead). In the RD-2000, I think this sounds closest to "Mellow Concert", or Concert Grand with -2 character
I bought a cheaper digital piano and love it!! Better than my Baldwin R by far!!

super :)
All i heard is "TOM and JERRY" !!!!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Tom And Jerry hehe!!
pura arte !!!!
vere good
Despite the scale, great!
Does sustein pedal on this instrument have any gradations? I mean, the difference in sound when pedal is full-pressed, half-pressed or quarter-pressed (as it is on acoustic grand pianos).
Yes, there is complete gradual effects on the pedals, so half pedaling is possible as well. (All Roland with supernatural have this I think.)
He is Japanese Cziffra.
fuck you suck !!!!

He may be technically Japanese but he was brought up in Hungary so really ethnically he is Hungarian.
Just the opposite. Since he was raised in Hungary, he learned the basics of playing the piano from Hungarian music theachers. And his mother / who is Hungarian/ thought the Kodaly method in Japan. This is a Hungarian musical method.

Piano nivel: Dios
Sorry that should be list
トムとジェリーだ。。
Cyborg Lizard sent me.
All I heard was Bugs Bunny.
test
friska only 06:10
Honestly, it still sounds "midi" ish to me. something about the timbre just seems off.

So why share yours Van?
All in all the performance was great. For my taste a bit more energy would be great but it's okay and it's HIS interpretation. BUT WTF IS THAT PIANO??
Seemed more of a technical performance than an emotional one, certainly a gifted player but it sounded like he thought playing this piece was a bit of a chore.
It was only to demonstrate the action which you could play the song on properly, its a demonstration of the instrument not the song
Too much rubatto
too much of your face
That Roland V-Piano, sounds dead. I wouldn't have one.
oh so you have played this in person with proper amplification or you judge the vpiano by a cell phone speaker...
+David Najor What sounds alive to you then?
raykrislianggi - AniMusic A real piano. I have played it, even the Kawai Mp11 sounds better. No digital piano can come close to an acoustic grand.

Boring !!!
Yes, where is the dem bösendorfer
The performance is boring, not the Hungarian Rhaspsody ,which I do adore. I prefere somebody else's rendition. For ex. Lang Lang's one.
Agreed
then you clearly have a bad perception of what a good pianist is vs what a good showman is :) all with respect !
@@54nike Lang lang doesn't play the piano ; lang lang is a clown that smashes the piano each time he touches one.
It sounds good, but it still sounds a little dead compared to an acoustic.
I would say that a better computer sound system on your end would improve your listening to the performance. You are listening to TH-cam replay.
Nothing violates the sound as much as bad phrasing does. ಠ_ಠ
