    What a brilliant master class. Not only is Mr. Liebman a superb musician but he's a wonderful educator as well, imparting so much useful information in this two-hour class.

    There's this and a masterclass with Branford Marsalis that have really rapidly improved my playing from a tonal point of view. Real inspirational stuff. Now I want to go and practice properly again.

    Dave an elder statesman of the music we pigeon hole as Jazz.
    Younger players need to respect and investigate Dave's and others...words of wisdom.
    Beautiful

    David finally mentions Getz around 45:00. THey're talking about sweetness of sound. He brings up the album Focus. But before their category was sadness, where I still think of Getz, and some of the playing in the soundtrack Mickey One. I say some, because there are many different emotional moments in Mickey One. It is a tremendous recording.

      What you mean?
      I don’t heard this theme on this video
      Can you give me a timing?
      Thx

    Only when I saw Dave at Bach Dynamite (after seeing many shows in 30 years) did I finally get an ethnic feel from his approach. When I say finally, I don't mean I was looking or waiting for it. I heard his culture in his playing. Now according to this "tenor" of this video, Dave would ask me, "What culture?" Well, first watch my attachment below of Dave at Bach, and then I'll tell you. Or you'll tell me.

    J'ai vue un extrait ou il était traduit en français très intéressant, dommage qu'il n'est pas cette video traduite en français au cas ou si quelqu'un saurait le faire ce serait génial.

    I actually believe i can feel a lot of things going on in my mouth and throat. Maybe because i do vipassana meditation (i.e. meditating deeply on subtle body sensations)

    What brand and model are those saxophones

      My best guess is that they both are Keilwerth's

    • @1983Anubis
      @1983Anubis 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      the gold lacquered one is the keilwerth sx90r in gold lacquer and the other one is the MKX keilwerth in raw brass vintage finish.

    I'm pretty sure now that i don't believe the story about the guy who can do two and a half octaves on a mouthpiece

    • @mariakuzinas6695
      @mariakuzinas6695 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      perfectly doable on a right setup. i can go 2 octaves on my metal brancher with a ms la voz.
