The real lawbringer buff was them fixing paint patterns on his newest helmet. In all seriousness it's nice he's getting some small buffs.

One thing that can't be understated in my eyes is the transparency and communication from the devs. Yes, he's not getting much right now, but they are acknowledging he's not doing so hot, and he has issues, and they are actively looking into them, and stating that there's more to come next season. Who knows, maybe he'll get a light light chain, because heaven forbid he flows. It also would be nice if his shove had similar dodge frames to shugoki, maybe not AS bad (why do my weapons phase through him) but it would be nice for a little something.
Also would love more Sohei gameplay, especially if you're enjoying him. He's so cool, even if he kind of sucks lol
I would take the s on dodge any day.
That said I rather get armor on the neutral heavy than another light. Lights don’t give a mix up, so having a opener attack that can push frame advantage that doesn’t lose to a interupts would be a godsend
I also think his zone animation could be completely changed and have armour actual i think of he had an animation that looked somewhat similar to sohei with the soft feint it would be pretry cool

I still think that if he does get light, light, if it's the sides it's still enhanced, but if top it's faster. Though I think top opener should be enhanced as well lol
But armor on an opener would help with the whole dodge forward miccup
Nevermind that this will be the 3rd or 4th time the devs have been "looking into" LB cuz for all their transparency, they still can't seem to get reworks down (Conq and LB cry everyday)
reversing nerfs of the og characters at this point would make it more balanced

50 damage when it was way easier to react to everything pre ccu, yeah, that was annoying. 30 damage off a light parry wall splat is really not bad.

Bring back old impale
TEchnically it's a 5 damage buff, which is huge. But the problem has never been on the runing attack impale...
The problem is that impale is still a worst light parry punish than normal top heavy, so the move is still useless.
If they are gonna keep impale on light parries, they NEED to rise impale to 10 damages like warmo, and give top heavyt a slight damage buff like they did, otherwise, this is just all useless stuff.
Let me remind you all that cent, warmo, jiang jung, can still get a heavy out of a heavy parrym with damage ranging between 27 and 32 on heavy parry.

True, but, with all three, the wall has to be pretty close, while Lawbringer impale travels quite far. However, I think reducing the range of impale to match, say, Warmonger's would have been a far better solution than what ubi decided to do

@@Odyssey__ I was talking about haymaker here, but to me pugio nerf is a try to take away the light from the real cent problems. And I mean, it would not even be a problem if they did not decide to arbitrarely remove good stuff from other heroes while leaving them barebones without even a rollcatcher.

Shaolin, using a damn stick, does more damage with his heavies then the 7' foot fucker with a polearm.
Are you including the chain light that’s guaranteed?
Because the damage isn’t lower for everything except one heavy.

Neutral Normal 24, top heavy normal 27, chain armored 26, finisher side unblockable 30, finisher top unblockable 32, parry riposte 29.
Shaolin:
Neutral Normal 24, Chain normal 27, Finisher normal 30, Qi undodgable 24, Sweep follow up 24.

I would say,I still want them to give some nice wallsplat punish for LB,like,on GB throw.I would imagine it having animation where he either slam enemy with hammer into solar plexus(but that would mean it will need to have stam damage,and it seems we trying to get rid of these) or just cut into stomach with axe for like,28 damage and it ends mixup.
Could you imagine still having some option selects in this external fighting meta
If orochi and zerk hadnt gotten nerfed, i would've said itd be ok tbh especially since dodge attacks get punished so hard, but yeh im mostly ok with them staying away

ACTUALLY, it’s one more damage than the light parry. The light parry is 29 (25+4), versus impale to wall to long arm being 30 (3+23+4).
One extra damage but ironically it now does more damage to impale than just the heavy. While technically a buff that people wanted, just not the way they wanted.
Nvm just watched more into the vid lol. That said it does make his wallsplat into long arm 27 lol.

I dunno, everytime lawbringer gets somethin fun people go overboard, especially if it's an older character. They want to sustain "identity" And I dunno man, doesn't feel good after what they did to him
Yeah definitely you can feel the difference ..it is fair so far and now Lb is a bit better now.
On lightparry now you get impale (3) + wallsplat + longarm + top heavy(23) + confirmed light(4). This gives 30 damage. 1 more than regular lightparry punish. But it costs 18 more stamina. 1 damage for 18 stamina and also reset your opponents stamina cause longarm floors them. A giga not worth joke of a punish. On guardbreak you get a wall throw + longarm + top heavy + confirmed attack, which is 27 damage instead of 24. Again, for the huge downside of costing 22 more stamina and resetting your opponents. In most cases you're better off not using these punishes. But if you can read the length of the opponents healtbar precisely and be aware of your stamina, you might confirm a kill on GB where you previously couldn't.
No. That being said it has been an eye opener to everyone still saying he's good to realise that maybe he isn't.

I barely played FH at all the last year. Wanted to get back to my LB to get his next ten reps but man, i really miss being able to Long arm off GB. I really wish they kept it in. I played you in dom one time a long time ago, was just being obnoxious and LA spamming though. Anyway i hope he gets more unique animation uptime (variety). Right now hes a bore to watch at times. shove, chain, parry

i switched to pc recently and fighting new players is really funny, i just play lb, stand there menacingly and just parry on red, they don't learn their lesson
this is a side rant but being low level in high elo is a nightmare for matchmaking, i had an account on xbox that's rep 10 and it takes 20-30 mins just to find a match only because my rep is low even when my kd and win rate are high

They said they know it's an issue and they're trying to figure out the best way to go about it without ruining some of the unique mechanics he has on his front dodge
What mechanics does he have on front dodge ? He only has a bash and that doesnt matter since many have that already + a Roll catch@@Odyssey__
@@Oznerol1234 he has the ability to cancel his front dodge recovery into a light, heavy, or zone, which can be used to catch people with said attacks if they try to dodge the bash. This is a property that basically only he has, so if they get rid of it for a basic roll catcher, he'll lose some uniqueness

@@manz7860 HL needed it cuz without it he literally couldnt counter dodge attacks. Long Arm for LB has always been a gank move that LB didnt need to counter dodge attacks.
Lawbringer is still complete garbage compared to the other characters, the fact that he has no hyper armor is crazy.

I liked the game better when the base damage of a heavy was 30, and that of a strong heavy was 40, now that it is 24 and 27 there is almost no difference, you need to hit 4 heavy dmg to have 1 free light worth of dmg, meh
The game lowered the damage to incentive reads, back and forth gameplay. Deleting someone in 1-2 mix ups was awful.
