This ep is so good with so many interesting details, callbacks and parallels for later but so many people misinterpret it while everything is in the dialogues...how?? Thks to Bisky's training with the digging and Shu they probably dug that hole and tunnel in the ground so easily I think Gon's reasoning is : "If I was alone facing Genthru with no backup plan how would I win/survive?" Gon has to rely on others but he doesn't really like it, he wants to be strong enough on his own and be able to protect others... he got an idea on the spot bc that's how it works for him (Killua is good at visualisation so he doesn't need that kind of experience) and bc he knew about the Archangel's breath he had a unique opportunity to actually test his idea without long lasting repercussions so he took it and from his POV it makes total sense Obviously this is still crazy to go through that pain even for a short moment but Gon's drive is enough to push him that far, he will never 'waste' an opportunity to learn and be stronger if pain is the only price he has to pay (he's not suicidal... not yet at least) The decision to heal the Bombers was made by the trio, not Gon only (same for Binolt), and it's actually Killua who's explaining why he goes with that decision and it makes sense from his POV and shows his character development..such a good moment Killua's hands were going to heal on their own (that's why they prioritized Genthru at the end bc they were going from the most severe injuries to the lightest, so Killua's hands were less injured than Genthru's body) so people saying that Gon didn't care about Killua's sacrifice are imo overreacting, bc first of all Killua made that decision himself... when Gon realized he was hurting he stayed quiet out of respect for his resolve bc that's what Killua wants from him, not protection (he knows that at least since YN arc when Killua was mad at Kurapika who at first pushed them aside bc that would mean they weren't "friends or equals" ) That doesn't change in the next arc I like to have here Goreinu, who clearly is the audience's surrogate (bc my boy Leorio is not here ^^), giving his opinion : "I like you, I hate them, this is good enough reason" Not only with HxH, in many other shows and stories, people tend to take the side of the person they know and follow since the beginning (Killua here) even when the stranger also deserves some compassion or just having his basic human rights taken into consideration....it's a very natural response, very understandable, but I like how it is pointed out here to hopefully make the viewers reflect on that tendency
Genthru forfeited any rights he had to basic human decency or compassion when he used, toyed with, and psychotically murdered a large swathe of people.

Tbf, its a paradox of "It makes sense but overexplanations are annoying". I still agree with you.
@@valhallakombi7239 still less annoying than those 2 yapping and laughing awkwardly all the time, they're so trash 🤣
