I'm left now with a new theory... The Nords are, for the most part, the most devout followers of Shor/Lorkhan in so much as they revere him directly. The Chimer/Dunmer are the devout followers of the good Daedra and, by the evidence of this video, Lorkhan's champions. The Argonians are the reptilian race created by the Hist, the sentient trees of Sithis, from which Lorkhan comes.
What if the Hist, whose origin is unknown, are a product of Lorkhan and the Argonians thus the latest creation of Lorkhan.
Perhaps the Ebonheart Pact, though contrived for ESO's 2nd Era and not befitting the lore of that time period, is actually the goal of the Padomaic descendents in the eternal struggle against the Anuic forces in the Aurbis. The most complete alliance of man, mer, and beast to make use of the strengths of all?
I'm sure Haskell would shake his head at such a theory, but there it is.

Yeah, it would also be cool to see the Anuic races band together in the face of Chaos and Instability with their Order and Stability.
I mean, if the Thalmor could ever come to terms with the Redguards after the Great War and admit they were wrong about attacking them, then that would have 2 Anuic races, one Man and one Mer, and then toss in the Khajit, who seem to be a bit in the middle (although they lean more Padomaic) and the Bosmer, who are mostly Anuic but share a few small Padomaic features.

    Beatiful interpretarion!
Even the Chimer's greatest sin (becoming gods) was only possible by the Heart of Lorkhan, which was not repremended by Boethia. The Tribunal actually managed to become Anuic gods, and if that is not perpetuation of Lorkhan's legacy, I don't know what else is.

    • @HickoryDickory86
      @HickoryDickory86 3 ปีที่แล้ว +14

Well, the mortals of Mundus are supposed to become gods by struggle, by enduring the Psijic Endeavor and achieving CHIM, not by tampering with the Heart of Lorkhan and cheating their way to divinity. (And because they cheated and earned nothing, the Tribunal's powers, not being their own, faded and waned and needed to be renewed periodically. Theirs was a stolen and temporary divinity, not the one that could have been their by right as designed by Lorkhan and taught by Boethiah.)
Even though Boethiah didn't step at that moment, Azura sure did. I'm sure Boethiah was in full agreement, too, as Azura's judgment only gave the Dunmer something else to suffer and overcome.

The Tribunal went further in the Pisjic Endeavor than anyone else even if they did not fully succeed in it. I'm sure Boethia didn't mind Azura's vain punishment, as it was just another obstacle to overcome, just another test on the path to divinity, a test that the Tribunal ultimately failed.

However it’s in the details and the political realities that make the whole thing fall apart. Actually very believable even when you think about it at length.

I once read somewhere that when the chimer migrated, they, lead by boethia, stayed for a time under the greatest of the elves, Trinimac. Boethea became his lover, and after a time suggested he take the place of Lorkhan as the 9th divine. He rejected her, and she cast him into oblivion through her teeth, making him a daedric prince. This is why trinimac isn't the 9th divine, because he rejected mantling Lorkhan, but instead became Malacath.

Mehrunes Dagon was created by the Magne-Ge.
Sheogorath was once Jyggalag, the Daedric Prince of Order. It gets a bit weird as Sheo is possibly the second-most inherently Padomaic being after Lorkhan, and described as the "Sithis-shaped hole" after Lorkhan has his heart ripped out, though that's pretty handily explained by Jyggalag's curse.

It's odd how Boethia (and others like Mankar Cameron) seem to greatly dislike the Aedra. They call them weak for having to hide behind statues, but there's a reason their power is so limited.
They literally poured much of their power into creating Mundus. She fought and slashed at Magnus' Eye because she thought he was cowardly for wanting to leave, yet she herself didn't contribute anything to Mundus, and she also shuns Aka (whichever time God aspect you wanna go for) for going mad and being taken apart by the sheer undertaking of handling Mundus, but like... he's literally the God of Time, he's the reason she and the other Et'Ada could even take shape and manifest themselves, and understand their nature's and limitations.
Just saying, I appreciate her whole "wake up and choose violence for what you want", but as Trinimac/Malacath indicates, you don't have to be a total dick to all others to be strong and enduring.
Trinimac was OP, took down Lorkhan, and fought Boethia and was murked when Mephala showed up, so it's not like his ability as a powerful Et'Ada was changed.
He's still a God, one that was infused with the Padomaic waters in Oblivion after being taken from Aetherius. So while he may have been altered in appearance and all, he's still fundamentally the same deep down, and his sphere overlaps much of the same principles.
Even Boethia couldn't change him in his entirely. And Boethia herself isn't above change either. In fact, given her nature, she'd be more liable to change if anything happened to her, more than the Anuic Trinimac that has retained much of his former self, even as he was cast into Oblivion.
Boethia wouldn't exist as she does without Auriel's enduring, everlasting influence, as much as she hates him...

Mankar was an Aldmer nationalist who disliked the Aedra for not liberating them from the colonial domination of Man, so he looked towards Mehrunes Dagon, the son of Meridia and grandson of the Aedric Elven god Magnus, for help in overthrowing the human Empire and destroying the Lorkanic prison that is Mundus. Moreover, the Aedra and Daedra are not exclusively Anuic or Padomaic. They’re both half, as the Et’Ada are the children of Anu and Padomay. What constitutes as Anuic and Padomaic is based entirely on ideology.
One can be Anuic and chaotic. Another can be Padomaic and ordered. One can support chaos and statis, while another can support change and order. While the rest have ideological views that are a mix of more. Morality is also another variable factor that has no basis on Anu and Padomay. These are entirely independent philosophical concepts. They may also be relative. One may support order here and chaos there, or support certain ideologies at different moments in time.
Most of every Aedra and Daedra constitute their own race. For instance. Azura is a Twilight goddess, who created the Twilight race as her servant offsprings. Mephala is a Spiderkith goddess, who created the Spiderkith race for the same purpose. Likewise, Shor created Nords to serve his will. All gods and goddesses have material interests that often get into conflict with their relatives.
The Aedra and Daedra may seem as incomprehensible beings to the mind of the ignorant, but the gods are quite simple and predictable. They’re not as complex as they like to portray themselves as. They are as deep as a snobby noble or a power-hungry king. They care about themselves, their power and their influence, and that is why the Dwemer are the greatest race.

I believe that Boethiah shall play a main story role in TES6. I believe one of the central stories will involve the feud between Boethiah and Malacath. My opinion for the story will center around the Thalmor continuing their war against Hammerfell and even managing to win over some of the Crowns to subjugate their lands and people as they are truly the last resistance of man that poses a threat to Summerset. Meanwhile they play a political game in High Rock to gain free access to Direnni Tower and several Key locations. Ultimately a "chosen" agent of the Thalmor command needs to recover a Dwemer device from Hammerfell's deserts that allows to siphon the life force out of Daedra as an energy source. They then require an Ayleid artifact that can materialize and allow free communication with the Daedra. These two items will allow them to sack Orsinium and invoke Malacath in which the Thalmor Agent will capture and drain the essence of Malacath so that when he is weak enough they can invoke Trinimac's essence and the agent can mantle it. The new Trinimac will be separated from Malacath and march towards Direnni Tower in order to access the Zero Stone and access the Argent Aperture thinking it will ascend all Mer to their original state. Boethiah will be central to the story as trying to have the player character intervene against the Thalmor and Trinimac's mantling. In true fashion after the final battle with Trinimac, Boethiah will try to use Direnni Tower is some way to bring back Lorkhan and betray the player character and allies and need to be stopped as well.

Very VERY well put. There has always been a battle between stasis and change or what we know versus what can change to be unknown. In this case, what is the difference between good and evil only deals on the perspective of the observer. Is a civilization that crushes all those that stand against it evil? To that civilization, no as it protects itself, but to those that stand against it... It is the definition of evil. A willingness to stand against a friend is called a betrayal and is extremely hard to do, and yet Neville in the first Potter story is rewarded for doing so. Boethiah demands that strength. To take out obstacles to achieve the needed ends without regard to personal feelings.

"Even an elf can be born with the heart of a Nord." Guess it's actually the Nords who are born with the heart of a mer. Which is in a way fitting, cause I always felt they are kinda a middle ground of Orc and an opposite to Dark elves.

    • @muslimcrusader5987
      @muslimcrusader5987 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

That’s an interesting theory, but Dark Elves were created by Azura to symbolise the Chimer’s betrayal of the Good Daedra in favour of the Tribunal - the Anticipations. Therefore, the Dunmer race, with their red eyes and blue skin - colours which Azura considered rebellious against the Good Daedra’s rule - are actually the children of themselves; of their own kin who ascended to godhood. It’s funny, Dark Elves are, essentially, an extension of Chimer elves who succeeded where the Dwemer failed. Technically, after the events of ES3: Morrowind, Azura should have reverted the Dunmer back into the Chimer, as the Tribunal gods were removed from Morrowind and their worship replaced with the worship of the Good Daedra - the Reclamations. Not sure why Bethesda didn’t go through with it.
So as to Dark Elves being the new Nords: I highly doubt it. Even when they worshipped the Good Daedra or themselves, the Elves of Morrowind constantly warred with the Nords of Skyrim, who are the *true* sons and daughters of Lorkhan. In fact, “Lorkhan” isn’t even his real name. His real name is Shor, especially since his shield-thane, Tsun, calls him as such. “Lorkhan” is just the name the Aldmer gave so they didn’t have to utter Shor’s real name. But it seems that Aldmer culture is quite influential, as even the gods and lifeforms of Oblivion use Elven terms like “Lorkhan” or “Daedra”. Strange. In any case, Nords clearly dislike Dark Elves for many reasons: social, economic, political, cultural and especially religious.
Nords have always and will always be the descendants of Shor. In the early centuries of the Dawn Era, the Wandering Ehlnofey took Shor’s side in creation. He transformed the Wanderers, remaking them in his image, until they became his mortal offsprings. This was the birth of the Nords. A glorious race, shaped in Shor’s face and form. They were made to bring glory to their lord, and be rewarded with an eternity of paradise in his world of Sovngarde. Kyne, then the wife of Shor, carried the Nords upon her winds from the outskirts of Mundus onto the peak of the Throat of the World, on the supercontinent of Aldmeris. Their purpose was to colonise Nirn and return it to Shor’s domain. A legendary war occurred between the Nords and the Aldmer which broke Aldmeris into the many continents that we know of today. The Nords landed on Atmora, while the Elves landed what they still called Aldmeris, before sailing towards the Summerset Isles, while Tamriel - the heart of Old Aldmeris - and the Heartland (Cyrodiil) - the soul of Old Aldmeris -
was uninhabited by Mer for a time too long, before the Aldmer set sail to retake Tamriel, where they would eventually become the various Tamrielic Elven races such as the Ayleids and Falmer, from the Nedic tribes which called the continent home. The Heartland is where the Ayleids, also called the Rumer (Star Elves) built the White-Gold Tower in honour of Auriel’s white-gold Draconic body.
The rest is known history. Nords are the children of Shor, not Elves. Boethiah may have loved Shor, and Boethiah may have created the Chimer to be a race of Shor-loving Elves. But Shor had no love for Boethiah. He loved Kyne, and took her handmaiden Mara as his concubine. Only one thing remains true: Elves are the natives of Planet Nirn, a once prison that fell under Auriel’s control, and Nords are extraterrestrial, alien invaders sent by Kyne to colonise Nirn for Shor, not Lorkhan, but Shor.

The results leading to the 'reanimated dung' becoming Malacath due to them merging and leaving behind characteristics to one another. Malacath gained a new portfolio and visage, while Boethiah might have gained their male qualities (though this one seems more of the stretch since I'd have to prove Boethiah characterized as only female until AFTER possessing Trinimac). Nonetheless it'd seem more appropriate for misinterpretation since Malacath insists it didn't go down like that. But who honestly would admit getting eaten and pooped out lol

It’s interesting how the Chimer are, in essence, a Lorkhanic version of Elves. Yet they hated the Nords who are literally the *children* of Lorkhan. It’s also believed that Boethiah led the Velothi Elves to Resdayn to protect Lorkhan’s heart. But if that’s true then I wonder why Boethiah didn’t just go to Atmora and get the Nords, who are the most Lorkhanic and Padomaic race on Nirn, to travel to Red Mountain. It would have made much more sense.

I see the Nords and the Dunmer as step or half sibiling races, Nords are the children of Kyne and Lorkhan/Shor, while the Dunmer could be more the adopted children of Boethiah and Lorkhan/Shor.
See Dunmer are still Mer they were once still Aldmer children of Auriel or Trinemac maybe, they were the children though that turned and so Boethiah adopted them and presented them to her lover saying these are our children.
Though I also theorize that Kyne and Boethiah are reflections of each other, so maybe Boethiah wanted a kind of elven reflection to the children of Kyne and she made the Dunmer/Chimer as kind of a dark and elven reflection of the Nords.
Basically the Dunmer/chimer are either the nords step-sibling or half-sibling or they're their reflections of the Nords just as Boethiah could be a dark reflection of Kyne.

    • @Super50ldier
      @Super50ldier 2 ปีที่แล้ว

“The arrogance of mortal beings is often astounding, many, truly believing that they and only they know the truth, for only they are the ones who are not blind. The high elves in all of there piety to order attempt to separate these beings called gods into categories in order to make sense of good and bad, pure and corrupting, ancestors or not their ancestors, Aedra or Daedra. But is this not also a lie? Was the warrior god not cast out when he changed from trinimac to malicath. The truth to these beings that draw power from Aetherius is far from what any word spouted from these churches of men, mer, or beast. But through the story of trinimacs change we can see that the gods are not unchanging. Where have these beloved gods gone? Not one of these “aedra” spoke to the Dragonborn in his trek from the chopping block to sovergarde. not one word as he was taken under the wing of the god of knowledge, hermeas mora, or did they? Since long ago, no credible accounts of aedra speaking to mortals has come, only those condemned to the name daedra, those who temporarily gain access to godly power, or those who were changed by it. Talos shook the world with his actions and charged nirn forever, but nirn pushed back. nirn shifted him from a godlike warrior to an avatar of the lost god, the god of mortals, a father of nirn, and keeper of cycles. Talos was changed to be a new “lorkan” to heal the natural order and cycle of life and nirn. But again we see change, talos changed lorkan as lorkan changed him, just as the evolving of trinimac. Look beyond what the imperial cult drills into you and see the overlap of these gods, akatosh god of time, keeping the March of sand going ever onward in a perfect pace but not afraid to speak to a lowly slave in the jungles of cyrodiil to bring an end to an empire that has lived long past it’s time. Does this not reek of similar actions of the taskmaster? The sly scheming dragon of pestilence who does not wish for the world to fall to plague, but to see natural order upheld. These gods can change and they shatter. Perhaps those eight aedra did speak to that Dragonborn, but not in there known forms. Listen to your hearts mortals and find the truth, perhaps you believe me, or think I am wrong, it does not matter. In the end all mortal thoughts are flawed” - A Heretic and His Musings

      Interesting, although to be fair:
I mean, personally, it's all fun and games till some Aedra find a way to leave Mundus and screws up the whole Realm. Then all of a sudden, Boethia wouldn't be laughing.

Nope, it's established that the Thu'um is a type of tonal manipulation, in which the vibrations themselves manipulate the music of reality. You gotta make some sound to make it work. Even ignoring that, Wulfarth was the most powerful mortal user of the Thu'um, so much that he could not talk or even whisper without causing incredible damage. I feel for anyone who can't use these mods I played Skyrim so many times that I've done everything that can be done played every race and role-played as a good guy bad guy holy Warrior Assassin vampire-werewolf Necromancer and it just got old if it wasn't for mods this game probably would have been either a coaster or a frisbee

Does this then mean that boethiah showed the chimer the way to lorkhans heart, knowing that the tribunal would use lorkhans power to become demigods? And since the tribunal betrayal neravar and azura, does this empower boethiah as the god of betrayal and insurrection?
This video has opened a few rabbit holes, very enjoyable and great food for thought

Yes, but Boethia would change the definition of each word just to spite Drew.

Huh.... this actually makes the Nord/Dunmer/Argonian alliance in ESO look a lot less silly than one would initially think, actually. Since the three are probably the most Padomaic cultures on Tamriel...

What would it *sound* like if you mixed the music that formed middle earth and the music that formed the elder scrolls universe. Would the world be a slap?!?🤔🤔🤔
