  • Climbing and Topping a 230ft Douglas Fir. The Tree had split at the bottom and was leaning hard over a major highway. The tree had to be cut down in sections to avoid collateral damage to the adjacent trees and the highway. The video shows some of the cutting involved. #Dangerous jobs #Tree falling #Tree Cutting #Lumberjack #Arborist #Vancouver Island

After seeing you all these years it's hard to think about not seeing you with your "don't give 2 shits whether you agree with me or not" attitude making videos. You have shown me and a lot of other people things that we use in our jobs every day. You have given us views from the tops of 200+ tall trees to beautiful forest floors to the edge of roaring seas. You should be proud of the content you have put out on your channel and if you personally think you can't put out anything that you feel good about then I agree with you. You should know that people respect you enough that they would watch you cut fire wood if that's the only content you put out. If this is indeed the last of your videos, I thank you for that beautiful view that I may never get to see and all the lessons that you tried or inadvertently given to me. You will be sorely missed whether want to be or not. You have made an impression on so many people. I wish you and your family nothing but the best. Again, thank you for all the years.

I'll admit, the trees on the east coast here in the states are nowhere near that height!
Mind you I see deciduous trees mainly. The biggest white pine I've ever seen here was 100' shorter than that one. I was still blown away at the size of it.
Keep on doing what makes you happy. Weather it's making content or taking a break from it. Getting burnt happens.
