I think the man's demise is more implied. Considering that after the speaker says that he "cannot stop her embrace," he never speaks again for the rest of the song.
I would say there’s nothing in the lyrics that suggest the encounter ends well for the man.

But a scarlet shine within her eyes demands that my senses depart.
I approach and take her hand, but her touch is as cold as the grave.
I realize too late where I am, for I cannot stop her embrace.”
The sun is set to rise, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be alive to see it. She’s entranced him, lured him outside, and he realizes too late what is happening to him. I’d say it’s implied she killed him.

But, naturally, what do you think, what was the purpose of mentioning the Sun and giving such words to a creature which was always known to be afraid of sunrise? I feel, there is no connotation of "you'll never see a sunrise again!", just something like "yep, it's high time for me, I gotta go". Plz share your thoughts
@@Gyatt_frfryes, there is a slight hinting as to his demise, just not as overt as lyrics describing his throat getting cut, blood getting drank and then left for dead until the sunrise.

What's the relationship to this and the song "Loreley" by Blackmore's Night which has, almost the identical chorus - is this originally a folk tune?
Not originally a folk song that we know of. Possibly just that it’s a simple chord progression, and the vocals follow the notes of the chords. But that’s a really fun song, thanks for introducing us to their music!
