Hi, Can you please explain why the SAB tuttle head has a flange. From what I know a tuttle mast should fit into the box until it binds and rocking it helps it seat properly. Unfortunately a flange will hinder this process and may damage the board and may even stop the mast from seating properly. So why is there a flange or am I missing something. It also adds weight and drag. thanks
Thanks for the super clear video! However, I cannot get the Kraken plate off from the mast. Any tips if there's any tricks I could try or is the mast ruined and no quick-release for me? ( the foil is 1year old, not used much)
You don't apply any lithium grease when mounting the quick release system to the mast... Is this no longer needed, now that you have the Sacrificial Anode installed in it? What's your advise?
i'm curious what happens (even if one uses lithium grease) after 2-12 month in salt water....... seems overly complicated and prone to failure...... i can also imagine the distance alters with time so one would constantly need to re-adjust the number of shims....... why not a mast with an integrated plate?
had it mounted for 2 years and used it at least 250 days per year in salt water and took 1 shim out today as the brass plate was worn - but could open the 2 screws without any problem.
Thanks for the instructional video. Very clear.
You're welcome! :)

It is always good to use lithium grease, both for friction and anti corrosion purpose.
Thank you for noticing and asking

Please enable automated-captions and make it accessible. Thanks.
