Silly director who has more than 90 hits out of the 105 films he did huh? It doesn't matter if it is one director or all the directors, he is a huge part of the telugu industry and is a reputed director unlike some directors in d North. The movie is Besharam and the director is Abhinav Kashyap who allegedly had an affair with Pallavi Sharda (who was opposite Ranbir Kapoor in the film). She is a South indian and was selected to play sardarni. So Tapsee is right the director was tasting something else..😂😂😂

In my neighbourhood and among our friends everybody avoided Raghavendra Rao and Kodi Rama Krishna movies for obvious reasons...what she pointed out is right KRR movies focus on women's mid-riff in songs. We all know KRR is not a great icon...we have really better directors in Telugu. Even Nagarjuna in an interview with Raghavendra Rao said he was surprised by the coconut move with Tapsee's mid-riff. Come-on guys admit it that we have a niche mass Male audience that is obsessed with heroines' mid-riff. Consider those objectionable songs by Raghavendra Rao in Annamyaa.
Women are objectified in most of our Indian movies including Telugu movies. Heroines really do not have a great choice. It is a male dominated industry and if someone even mentions, the mass people immediately react violently.

Speaking of bollywood now , I don't know what is your problem with kiss scenes which is an integral part of human lifestyle. I agree that some bollywood fims are cringeworthy but that doesn't apply to the vast majority of bollywood films that are very good . Just to name a few:-

India , guru , guide , Bombay , Munna Bhai mbbs , mother india , talvaar , I am kalaam , no one killed Jessica , nil battey sanatta , Neerja , rock on!! , Padman , cholti si baat , Satya , padmaavat , awaara ,dil se.. jonhy gadaar , almost all rajkumar Rao and Ayushman khurana films and many more .
I know that southern cinema particularly malayali cinema also produce good fims like roja , super deluxe, Bahubali , etc but we can not overlook the absolute cringe that some southern films especially that of telegu cinema have like the the above coconut scene , ridiculous fight scenes , and huge amount of unnecessary melodrama.
Also, in many southern films the roles of women are not as empowering as that of bollywood . Again I'm not generalising this to all films and I acknowledge the contribution of southern artists to indian cinema as a whole just like bollywood artists. Hope you understood

This has been re-posted because in the earlier upload Taapsee Pannu had said a 'word' at one point in the video which would have been offensive to some. That part has been edited out in this upload rightly. When I had heard the word the first time I thought Taapsee would get in much trouble for that but the EIC guys have gone for sensibility instead of sensationalism and have saved Taapsee from much flak,online abuse and op-ed pieces on her . Tapsee's top notch sense of humour.....I mean.....she was so spontaneous......As a south Indian and a hater of "Raghavendra Rao" I totally back Tapsee. This director enjoyed star status for decades and looted a lot of money by making "no-class" films, just by using women as objects.

I'm a South Indian telugu guy and I don't find anything offensive about this video. Infact I find most of the songs in South Indian movies especially made by k. Raghavendra rao offensive to women. People even make fun of Hitchcock's films . Learn to take humor just as humor. And finally, taapsee doesn't owe her success to raghavendra rao or south India...she is successful because of her talent , we didn't do shit. She worked hard to be where she is today....so my fellow Telugu guys stop over reacting and stop being lame all the time.
