@sambrew1 It's not a stupid question if you are not into movies or his acting skills have not impressed you as they have me. Max Von Sydow is a Swedish born actor who has played lead roles in a number of films for the last 60 years. He first came to prominence in Ingmar Bergman's The Seventh Seal - see Max Von Sydow on Wikapedia. I suspect you would recognise the face if you saw him, even if you didn't the name.
Thank you for your comment which I received. I have indeed stated my concern over the keeping of Salmon and have been assured that 80 per cent of fish taken are released. Sometimes fish will not survive the fight anyway. Show the blood? Many people are happy to eat fish without considering how it reached their plate, though I can see you are not one of them. I acknowledge it is sad to see a noble fish dispatched, but I venture to suggest we keep an open mind. At least the killing was swift.

@sambrew1 Burning witches, bear baiting etc., was part of my nation's culture, but I'm not sure that that's a sustainable argument. I did not say I was a 100 per cent catch and release and suggest you read my comments carefully. I'm curious that my reply to the criticisms you so much abhor have incurred your wrath more than redbutbearhair, but carry on, thank you for feeling sorry for me and enlightening me on where I should complain.
I have always thought that it is better not to kill what makes us happy, except when we need it to feed us. I can not blame anyone who kills a salmon. This has to do each one by itself. These images are very sad in my humble opinion.
What answer! I fish Alta Gaula and from 1982 in Surna. When you have catch several 1000s salmon there needs a lot to lift your hat for a fish. I dont care of fish under 25lbs or 10kg that is not a salon for me. I have one 24.72kg and 23.43kg same night in Alta and many 15+ so for me only 25+ is on the list rest I can be whit out. I leave those to the guys who not catch any fish or any 10+ I did work at the river as klepper so we might talk bit different languages in terms. Good film how it works in Norway 👍
good video ruined by butchery,not necessary especially the blood pumping from the gills of that stunning creature.even in my fish killing days i would have been mortified to witness that............
I have seen the full video and seen the blood. Should we all be spared the unpleasant aspects of nature? Would not a more sanitised video make it harder for you to get across the point you have expressed? I would have preferred fish release, but am assured this is sustainable.

It really gets up my nose when you still here anglers on a daily basis still wanting to kill fish, yet they will be the first people to moan when fish are not there. we all need to play a part to make sure that we have salmon for the future .

Killing Big salmon and depleting the gene stock of Big Salmon these days of struggling Atlantic Salmon stocks is deplorable
