The norse grave is interesting. They were pretty active in the area. At that time Tillicoultry and most of the Hillfoots towns like Alva were small hamlets tucked into the hillside. Close to where the later industrial revolution mills are today.
    Thanks for this.

Glad you enjoyed it. Yes they were indeed. They've left their mark that's for sure.

Thank you once again, S's H, for another unique insight into Scotia's past. I resided in Stirling for 16 years, including four years at the University of Stirling (B A Honours), thence working as a journalist at the _Wee County News_ in Alloa.
With utmost respect, the audio in this valued upload is rather weak/low. Please forgive my forthrightness: This part of my comment is simply to give you an indication, from a young 70 year-old musician's perspective ...
All the best to you and yours, from mine and me. Stay free.
    Rab 🍻 😎 🌠

@@scotlandshistory The other four of your uploads I have so far viewed are fine, Valerie. No offence intended.
Bye for now, and *Thank You.*

Burried alive???? That must be one of the most horrible ways to go... Did I understand correctly that no one knows where the grave is?

Just put your ear to the ground and listen for scratching :)

Haha Cameron! Maybe you'll hear his ghost scratching! It's said one of the flat graves covers where the Wicked Laird was finally buried but which one, I don't know.
