For the record, Japanese swords (like European swords) are worn on the left hip and drawn with the right hand. This applies to both the katana and the wakizashi. In Europe, daggers were often worn in the small of the back and drawn with the left hand. Melee weapons being on the right hip in the mod is likely a game engine limitation the mod author had to work around.
lol the fox on the inclement weather outfit always makes me think of the fox on the FOXHOUND and XOF unit patches in Metal Gear Solid lol. Like the patch Big Boss wears
sheathing and drawing the wakazashi with correct posture is probably too much to ask for from the Creation Kit. It should be sheathed on the left hip with the blade edge turned upwards, etc etc. Part of what makes Cyberpunk 2077 melee so much fun is their attention to detail here, so I'd love to see it in Starfield... I just don't expect to.
@@CrimsonFlyboy : Thanks! Been obsessed with everything about The Reef since the original Queen's Wrath Event in Destiny 1. Unrelated, have you seen the Skin Pack for the Civilian Space Suit? I do not know who made it, but one of the skins is Crimson Flyboy. I figured you would want to check that out at some point. The mod author tried to cover all the Factions, and clearly is a fan of you.
@@CrimsonFlyboy : Looking forward to it! Watching your reviews are both entertaining and cathartic, when I am not actively playing, even for mods I know I am not going to be installing. Like, how some people need to keep the TV on so it is not too quiet. Thank you for the content you provide.
Generally when you use a skin mod for clothing It will state to the person downloading that you need to set you character to average height and weight so that there is no clipping
Interesting look. But not enough for me to move away from Zone79's Clothing Pack which includes his Bounty Hunter outfits including 2 style of holsters that look fantastic and is free. I'm pretty spoiled by Zones amazing clothing mods which rarely causes issues. But this will appeal to many I think. But that clipping bugged me enough to pass on it. Thx for the review as it did interest me.
@@mrmilwaukee89 they are static with one empty and the other with I believe is the Rattler which looks great and hasn't caused me any issues. So if static isn't your thing then I'd say try this mod. I'm just picky about any clothing type mod that causes clipping issues that might cause CTD. Since I've had lots of issues in the past. GL!
Still noone has made a backpack/back weapon holster, like properly done, i check almost every day, just give ne the modular backpack from fallout4, and make holater your weapon, also must me free. As none of these are worth money
1 thing that bugged me though is , it's still kinda incomplete, props for the MA for the try ,but u can't do it with a space suit ,and I don't know about most ppl, but i usually play in a spacesuit. so i guess i never get to see the gun. That's why i didn't buy it
it's a cool feature but i feel like it didn't came out as they thought i think they use the same replacement/space as zone79 uses on his bounty hunter outfits.. i wouldn't like to uninstall his instead of this one you're showing rn i had a random thought but moders could make collabs? idk, zone79 the design and the other one the mechanic
Psa this clips if youre using zbb. The magnetic one isnt bad tho. Also there's apparently a free one in zones bounty hunter outfit mod I was unaware of. I would've preferred if there was an invisible holster.
Do Zone's holsters show pistols on the right leg when they're holstered? I was unaware that they had that functionality. I know his and KryoZet's outfits have belts and bandoliers that you can equip over the base clothing, but none of them show the weapon model for pistols/melee weapons when they're holstered.
Legendary’s, skins and quality mods work fine (darkstar manufacturing relic) even the dark-stars legendaries seem to work fine but anything that mods the actual weapon in and way doesn’t, like darkstar manufacturing mkII invisible, even mods as simple as mag guns use crosshairs will make the mag shot invisible
Have tried keep getting a message something about missing keyword I I change legendaries I believe standard weapons have some keyword attached but when you change or add a legendary effect to the weapon I get this strange keyword message have tried many times at this point I am convinced it so bug getting triggered removing this keyword or whatever it is or it’s just some Xbox issue I am sure if I was playing on pc this would not be a problem will try again after the upcoming update
You dont NEED to spend 5 bucks just to get it bro ...youre always doing that...with most mod being 300 to 400 points almost everyone has 100 points left over and we are always looking for something to spend it on... its something more authors should do... lower prices means the 5 bucks can get 5 mods...modders just need to stop being greedy nd realise more sales at a lower price is better than low sales at a higer price...i use these holsters myself jst get the one that doesnt come attached to pants... he has just regular holsters and the cool thing is the clippoint works with other mods holsters so equip both for a holster you want
I know right? I'm fine with paying for actual content. But paying for super basic gameplay or cosmetic changes like these seems weirdly dystopian to me.
I do have to wonder though how much of this uses pre-existing game code left over from the Skyrim days. I mean, even Skyrim has pre-existing code that wasn't utilized by Bethesda: e.g. having cloaks on your character. It's one of the areas where Bethesda takes a step forward but then also one or two steps back. I wouldn't be surprised at all if having your weapon attached to your character was still in the game files and the mod author created clothing with the option enabled.
I've heard Skyrim had a code that made all your favorites weapons visible not just the equiped ones, so you could have a bow on your back and a sword on your hip at the same time. But they didn't enable the code for some reason.

Mod: Changes your pants
Crimson: Yells like he needs a change of pants.
I still wonder why Bethesda removed that feature in Fallout 4, man who thought it was okay ?^^
I agree. It was such a strange chjage
they are terrified of weapons clipping through clothes
The Pain Blade looks like you'll cut your arm off crouching. 🤣 Thanks for these mod reviews!
A lot more issues/quirks with this than I expected unfortunately.

Holster and SM Pants is "Sarah Morgan's Pants" but he abbreviated it to SM for spacing.

Do those holsters actually hold your gun or is it a static set piece

It would be a lot better if the holsters automatically placed a revolver from your inventory onto the holster without it having to be equipped.
Freestar Slackwear, with the Ranger pants and leather holster looks bad@$$.

Good video
Interesting cover... Making the holster very obvious.
Works with all standard weapons just not modded or dark star mk2 or mk3
Pretty cool. Now, how 'bout an animated ammo belt?
thx

I bought it but honestly i wish i didnt because i dont really likenthe pants options and how they line up with torsos
Have used it and any weapon that’s modded or legendary dosen’t work with it only base weapons
Modded weapons wouldn't work as the holster mod wouldn't see it. As for legendaries, there should be no difference as a base weapon. Are you sure

That's bethesda for ya... paid mod to add holsters to a 1st/3rd person shooter...
Paywalled mechanics 🤐
But I rather have them than not at all, because otherwise modder might just be making deliveries for a living, and not modding.

Yeah. It’s messed up. Hoping for a free alternative.
Bethesda didn’t do what I wanted because they planned to sell it to me later /s entitled much?
