I have a running theory it’s because they’re waiting for his voice to stabilize since he’s still growing. That way they can protect his vocal cords and so he can still sing these songs even after many years pass. So I’m sure he’ll get plenty of vocal lines in the future!

I think it has do to with his vocal not being his biggest strength in the group. I'm sure he's getting training along with the company letting his voice mature. I've noticed his voice has changed the most throughout time, obviously there's no surprise there so I'm sure with time he'll get more vocal lines. In comparison Jungwon is almost nearly two nears older than him which makes a huge difference with vocal maturity of men, plus he was a strong vocalist in I-land.

One can really tell Heeseung knows how to sing. He knows exactly how to let out every note using the right skill and he sings with his diaphragm making him so loud and clear. He has also trained himself on his vocal range too looking at how he could reach lower register, high notes and falsetto with minimum effort.

Also by lowering the diaphragm there will be less air in your lungs so that you can sing a longer note without going out of breath. I noticed hee could hold his breath for long and still sound powerful so he must have mastered his skill.
