Great garage, great collection, nothing wrong with having a garage full of motorcycles. I've got a handful as well. Started as a teenager, in my early thirties, so I have some catching up to do. I subscribed to your channel, as I saw you have one more toy on my wishlist. Have a good one :)
I actually thought the headlight on this bike was awful. Just replaced it lol. It's cool to see that your speedo looks so different from mine (Canada-spec). If you want to save some weight up high, remove the exhaust pipes and replace them with an aftermarket slip on. Then replace the battery with a lithium one. Not only will you save 10-15 lbs, you're saving weight on the stuff that's relatively high up on the bike, meaning it'll make for even better handling and lighter weight.
I just bought a 2015 with 2400 miles on it. I'm a mechanic so that is one reason I bought it. Very reliable, but the valve checks and subsequent adjustments are ridiculously complicated. I'm down to only 2 bikes so it will give me something to do at the 6K mark.
Greetings from Colorado. I have two of these bikes, and so I watched your video with interest. The accessories for this series is becoming increasingly rare, but I still find stuff if I look hard enough. I know that your Touratech tail-mounted rack went with the bike. And... no surprise... Touratach doesn't sell it. This is a longshot, but I wonder if you have, in what might well be your organized files, (just judging from your great, and well-organized garage!,) the part number of what you bought in '15 / '16? I'm trying to find it, but don't have a part number, and Touratech USA doesn't even have it in its catalog, anymore. Thank you for the video, and for any insight you might provide. John
I've been thinking about getting an all-road and the g650gs caught my eye. Though usually I prefer the bikes of honda overall aswell. The g650gs is just one of those well-rounded bikes imo. Love the tri-color grom there! You have a nice taste in bikes.
Thank you. I too am a lover of all things Honda but the little GS was a bit of a unicorn offering so much for not much more money. Thanks for checking in.
You won't regret getting the BMW G650GS. I ended up on one after 14 years of mostly riding cruisers and scooters. Totally changed everything I wanted to do on a motorcycle. I've made a lot of content on these ever since. Kind of fell in love with it. Bought two more BMW bikes since this one, keeping it forever.
Thanks for the nice review. Is this good as a daily commuter or as a city bike? I am 6foot 1inch tall 165lbs and a beginner rider looking for a bike which is more forgiving and easy to handle. BMW 650gs, honda cb 500x and suzuki vstrom 650 are the ones I am considering. I will be riding this bike in and around Portland, OR (which means I will have to ride in rain sometimes). I am more interested in riding on road, however Oregon trails would require some off roading capabilities. Which one is a good choice? Considering your riding experience I feel your input is valuable. So please respond when you get a chance. Please suggest if there are any other options for me, I am pretty open right now. Looking for a used but descent bike within $5k. Thank you.😊
I would look around for a nice used Honda NC 750, especially with a DCT Transmission. Super easy to ride and has tons of weather proof storage. The engine shares some part numbers of a Honda Fit so it's super reliable and rugged. I would avoid European motorcycles at all costs especially ones that are 5+ years old. Best of luck!

Beautiful garage
Thank you, it’s the greatest gift I’ve ever given myself.

I can’t seem to locate the part number for the Touratech rack anywhere
So cool
I couldn't find that Touratech rear rack anywhere. Does anyone know if it is still available?
