In the center of the immense granite plateau protected by the Estrela, Montemuro and Caramulo mountains, the city of Viseu is recognized as the capital of one of the most unique wine-growing regions of Portugal. The city of Viriato is more than the monuments that breathe our history. It is also the architectural legacy and memory. The attribution of the epithet of Cidade Jardim to Viseu is not from now on. Between the years 20 and 30 of the twentieth century, several municipal executives promoted improvements in the public spaces of the city.
