Entertaining the guests @ Maiana

At Bubutei village on Maiana atoll island in the Northern part of Kiribati. Every year the villager prepare for such a special occasion. It is a special celebration to show the importance role of Te Unimwane on the island . The month of May is where the celebration held in the Maneaba, a cultural meeting house. On that day Te Unimwane will be presented with different gifts like mat, coconut oil, their meal will be served and provided and they will get entertained by villagers. As usual everyone in the village get invited to be part of the celebration. This is rare but it's lucky days for some of the those who are not from the island like these government officials and others who happen to visit the island for government business and other reasons within that week of celebration. As part of the celebration they will be invited over as special to witness this special day and also they will get involve in any entertainment. The video show the guests who were ladies.
