@@HAWKsHere/home Do explain how. Cause so far, I love the secure folder, the goodlock app, the advanced features in My Files and Gallery app like object eraser, advanced cleaning, etc. Oh and Windows integration comes handy a few times although I don't use windows much anyway.
As far as I know, these don't exist in Oppo's which still gives 2 years of updates while samsung gives 4.

Color OS has literally, LITERALLY come a long long way. From one of the most ugly looking UI to one of the best looking and functional OS. I don't use an Oppo phone but a Realme phone with Realme UI but we all know it's the same. Exciting days!!

A super informative video covering colorOS 13, the amount of new update and addition is a lot. IMO using oppo is like iOS and Android meet in between, the fluidity of the animation, feel very smooth.
ColorOS just keeps getting better and better, been using ColorOS 12 for months now and I love it, the animations are silky smooth like ahhhhhh.

Im gonna say it. I GLAD OnePlus is bringing Color OS to their phones. It's feature rich and looks really modern and sleek. Stock android is boring and over rated. If you want stock then just buy a pixel.
Then maybe follow your own adivce? If you want colorOS, why not buy an oppo phone?
Ehm, ColorOS is built on top of the "boring" stock Android.
Stock isn't boring, but ya, I prefer ColorOS too, just I get why people are mad they got rid of Oxygen OS, cuz the two are so different that it's kind of weird they didn't just keep them separate with the community being so passionate and when you could just sideload color os onto a OnePlus anyways, I think a perfect solution would be what IQOO did where you can have both funtouch and origin os and switch in between without any hassle

Well not all android phones using stock version. Oppo has ColorOS, Samsung has One UI, Vivo has FunTouch OS..
I remember Windows Phone and HTC UI had this kind of style before with those live widgets. Everything is just turning back in time.

@ yeah I mean at this point OnePlus should just give up and use full ColorOS. Or maybe make a close to stock android skin like OxygenOS used to be, but that's not happening anytime soon.
I honestly wish so much all Android OEM's made the widget page that ColorOS has introduced. It could be so useful to have an entire page dedicated to widgets, instead of mixing them in with your homescreen icons. I especially have noticed a lack of space for widgets in my OneUI homescreen, since I have more than the average of homescreen icons.
You can create a separate page on your home screen for your widgets only and make it your default home screen or whatever.
Or you can stack widgets if you want some space

People complaining about "OnePlus lost their way without stock Android", stock Android doesn't exist anymore and Google's take on Android 13 is a disaster in usability IMO.

Those are amazing features. It seems Android is finally getting ahead in the software game and i'm glad they are putting in lots of efforts. Meanwhile Samsung can't refine One UI i'm hopeful they will bring in features that will balance the competition. Great review as always!
Samsung OneUI is still stuttery here and there. But in terms of features AND updates, considering its goodlock app, its still far superior than any other OS.
@@gurubhaktmohit I absolutely agree with you. Only if they could make those features from Goodluck tied to the UI it’s game over. Let’s hope One Ui 5 will be a great update and they will finally have a smooth Animation.
@@rick-c137 I guess they can't cause goodlock is not available in OneUI core version. But some features of sound assistant, notif history and Home UP are being slowly integrated in main OneUI so who knows...

i'm a heavy android user and i am AMAZED at this OS. just got a Oneplus 10 pro to try chinese phones out again ( had a oneplus 8)
and i am BLOWN AWAY by these improvements. it is really feeling like an ecosystem now. loving ColorOS!

The best thing about coloros is that you can open split screen by simply drag itu from the side bar. And also the 3 figer gesture can open split screen.

I feel envious on Color Os being good improvement by pass years while i still depending on OneUi, but just hoping it does not ruining battery health/life and making heat on devices
My first priority is always the OS. For this reason i shifted from iPhone Xr to Note 9 (OneUI) three years back. After watching this video, i am thinking that it's now time to explore ColorOS!! No doubt, the features showed here is just Awesome!

Well, OxygenOS 13 is pretty much the same as ColorOS 13, and it has themed icons, pretty sure people missed out about that
Hello and thanks a lot for your video! Is there a possebility to bring more apps "in the dark mode for thirdparty apps"? I only updated to Android 14 to wish the "beta mode of the feature gets alpha in color os. But nope, it even supports less apps than android 14:/ I know i can go to dev prefs to turn forcedark on but it is not really handy to do that after every restart....

The control centre can be customised, right? So, is the music player a default one that cannot be removed? I don't use music player on my phone, like ever.

for real, Oxygen OS 12 was just a chaotic mix between Color OS 12 and Oxygen OS 11.. they just released something unstable to be able to say they're on Android 12, too

Unfortunately, some of its features are not yet available here in the Philippines for Oppo Reno 8Z 5G. I really like the widgets and the always-on display features.
I'm using samsung because of the oneui.. but since one ui2 nothing has changed and the animation is still very bad.. i think the color os might be better now

I'll advice oppo to make a little change on their control center again. Probably, add any feature like miui did
ColorOS took the style from different Home UI and packed them together. Like the photos widget, if someone used a Sony phone they would know it was already there. Anyways, they did a nice revamp by bringing the popular features from different UI together

@@viiris. The weird glitch were any slight touch triggers the volume rocker pisses me off. I tried to flash orange fox but it looks like it's not compatible with miui 12. I might try again with twrp
