    The Neonic Flow is currently my paddle of choice, but I got a heavy one at 8.4oz. I used the vatic Pro Prism Flash for 7 months straight as my primary paddle, and between the two (and my second favorite paddle) is the Spartus Ballista.

      Awesome, I think they are making their next batch lighter and a point lower in swing weight.

      I got mine a recently on 5/10/24 with the latest batch and it is lighter. Mine weighs in at 8.1 oz on my digital scale and doesn’t quite have the stability I was expecting. I added 6 grams of weight to the lower sides to around the lower corners with tungsten and that raised the weight to 8.3 oz. Better plow and stability now while still having a good sweet spot and the same crazy spin. Now more of an all-court paddle than just control.

    I just bought the Vatic Pro Prism Flash and like the added control coming from the Diadem Icon (which I also liked and which had more pop but less spin and control). Bought my wife the Mach 2 Forza 16mm. She has tried it once and likes it so far.

    I started with the Prism Flash, and then switched to the Neonic Force. I like the feel of thermformed, but I don’t love the elongated shape. I’m thinking about switching to the Neonic Flow or Gruvn Muvn 13s. Have you compared the Muvn 13s to the 16s?

    • @AllDriveNoDropPickleball
      @AllDriveNoDropPickleball  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      13s has a lot more pop and a little bit more power. It has a 100 swing weight so faster in the hands too.
      If you want to lean towards aggression with extreme pop the 13S is the choice.
      If you want something that can still leans towards aggression when you need it but has more control, the 16S is the choice.

    I switched from the Luxx Invicta to the Mach2 Forza 16mm at the beginning of Feb. I feel like this gave me some extra hand speed for hands battles and it was easy to generate a ton of spin. I'd call it my favorite control paddle so far. I also have a Vatic Prism Flash, but I still prefer the crisper feel of a thermoformed paddle. Now I'm playing with the Mach 1 Forza and like it after adding a good bit of lead to the 4 and 6 o'clock positions.

      @AllDriveNoDrop_ I wish I had your kind of access to paddles :). Unfortunately none of mine are 100% free. So I rely on info and insight from our community of paddle reviewers to shortlist that paddle(s) might be a good fit for where I am in my own journey. The Luxx came at a good time and really helped me build confidence in my soft game. When I wanted something more, then the Mach 2 Forza came along and filled the bill. But I prefer an elongated paddle and thought the Mach 1 Forza might be what I was wanting. Initially, I was unhappy with it. But once I got it dialed in with significant added weight I started playing better with it. But I still wonder if there is something that plays similarly without having to weigh 9.2oz. I have no idea where my swing weight is. I guess that would be good to know.

      I think the Loco is hit or miss for people on control. It feels softer than most thermoformed paddles but still not as soft as something like the Prism Flash. I had good success with the control but felt the DBD was still better. The Loco was still a lot of fun.

    I've used a selkirk luxx and a six zero DBD. Both are great paddles in their own right though I prefer the DBD for the fact that it doesn't use paint grit and has a lot more pop.
    Not sure if I would classify the DBD as a control paddle as I found it quite difficult to hit drops and resets initially. When I think of "control", I mainly think of stuff like the vanguard 2.0 or 003 (Selkirk is super popular where I am from).

      @AllDriveNoDropPickleball  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think so for the more access to power and pop it gives you. It is a good transition from a non-thermoformed to a thermoformed paddle.

    Just discovered your channel: Great job going over the paddles: I just have been playing PB for a little over a year; I need a control paddle. I can’t run around like I used to so I need to play smarter and put the ball where I want to. I have been playing with the Vatican but have been getting the itch to try something else. The Mach 2 is one I have heard about but now you have me thinking about the Neonic. Not really sure what I need right now. (Probably lessons 😂)

      Appreciate the support. At the end of the day lessons will help more in the long run than the paddle but the paddle can help a lot too.
      I think the Flow is about to restock in the normal color and Rose Gold. Both are solid paddles. I’d go with the Flow based on your reply.

      Thanks for your thoughts. I tried editing my choice to the Flow and it wouldn’t let me. If I am lucky enough to have my name pulled from the hat, I would love to take your choice for me. Thanks again.

    PB & Jelly over that Sunset Prism! But still could use the DBD in the toolbox. Great review as always! And wanna hear about that ProLite sitting behind you!

    My son has a Neonic Force...which I really like. I haven't tried the Flow. After I saw your review on the Spartus Apollo, I went ahead and ordered one. How would you say the Apollow compares to the Flow?

    • @AllDriveNoDropPickleball
      @AllDriveNoDropPickleball  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question. The Flow is a little stiffer and will twist slightly more on blocks and resets. I think it will come down to what feel you like and which shape you like.

    Six Zero is going after other manufacturers making hybrid shapes?

    • @AllDriveNoDropPickleball
      @AllDriveNoDropPickleball  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      From what I understand they have a patent on their shape, you can still make hybrids just not in their exact dimensions.

      @AllDriveNoDrop_ oh, ok. The DBD is my main paddle. Gets my #1 vote. I used the Neonic and liked it, but found it a bit too soft/spongy like.
      I have the Thrive Azul on pre-order. High hopes on it replacing the DBD. Cool, that you can order an exact swingweight with them.
