Great track, and Dan, your breakdowns are awesome. It's so weird, I get VERY strong BlazBlue vibes from the Overture soundtrack, but specifically the Calamity Trigger era. As Blazlue went on it had a heavier usage of strings, synth, and harpsicord but during CT is was mostly just metal (not that I'm complaining, just an observation). Considering these games came out around the same time, you can tell Diasuke had a vibe going.
I was always a fan of guilty gear. But when I heard this music on the trailer, I absolutely fell deeply in love with Daisuke and the whole guilty gear music.
I have a track I'd love for you to check out. It's called Violent Storm from Baten Kaitos on the Gamecube. I think it's right up your alley. The composer is the same guy that made the Tales OSTs (But Baten Kaitos is leagues better in my personal opinion), and the guitarist that plays on it has also played on several Guilty Gear soundtracks, including the OST for Guilty Gear XX. I really recommend checking this one out, even if it's just on your own time. I'd love to see a video on it of course, but either way, check it out at some point, you won't regret it :) I should add, if you want the higher quality version of the track, listen to the one uploaded by "TheFabulousTroupe".
They were about 4.5-5 years too ahead of the curb for having a dota style game before League of legends and Dota 2 came out. One of those titles that woulda done better if they released it the year before or the same year as league.

Funny thing is Id always get this song and Keep the Flag Flying confused because of how the rhythms call out to each other when I was younger.
