- Two Brazilian athletes who were training to represent Brazil in rowing at the Olympics in Paris have given up their spots to help flood victims in their country. This comes as many homes were underwater in the worst flooding Brazil has seen in 80 years.

I hope the world will be more concern about the climate changes and stop buying from companies and governments that promotes rain forests fires and excessive carbon emissions. This disaster occured by El Niño effects plus excessive heat concentrated at the certer of the country. The rain didn't move up the country and all the water dropped in Rio Grande do Sul.

I know that being a help to those in need is a noble cause but there is something to be said for sticking to what you have started and keeping faith with all those that have supported you through that hard journey to get that good at what you do. There will be many floods to help with but this only happens once for you. Tough decision.

Dengue was basically unknown at Rio Grande do Sul state until a few years ago. All local cases were actually imported. People who had contracted it in Rio de Janeiro or other states to the north.
The dengue mosquito would die because the eggs hatched because the weather would be too cold for them around the time of hatching.

Btw, the weather was sunny but also temperatures got much colder. Half of the state had frost this morning. It's expected, since it's only 1 month before winter.

Dengue is not tied to climate change. Dengue has come back in large numbers in Brazil due to poor health and infrastructure care and planing of this new government. Who knew that socialist policies had tendency to worsen the lives of people?!?!
