How about introduction and examples about Orabbix if you are familiar with it? Another things that I would to see is some examples on how to utilize IT Services in a useful way. Keep up the great work!
I'm not a big fan of Oracle as Zabbix backend, and I don't have a test instance on which to make video.
Thank you fro the video, when in front end i test the item it gets back the mysql error IM005, while in the terminal with isql DSN , it works great, the related matters to firewall and selinux are oke
Probably because fontend runs the test as "zabbix" user, but in terminal you are under "root"
Thanks so much , very interesting thought process how you move between the documentation to do problem solving - I am very new at data bases , kind of played around and setup but never really wrapped my head around the queries themselves , I struggle to get to the end result (which I know I want to achieve) my problem solving skills is limited , and I am very stupid most of the time , but I will work at it ... thanks again for the cool vid have a nice one (yip Inventory looks good , and possibly best configuration practices for zabbix server and how to use the documentation - I would be interested in) , thanks again best regards Lance :-)

Thank you so much for making these vids, can i ask you if is it possible to monitor MSSQL databases size on a windows host? I have alreday made the connection with the windows host via zabbix agent and i want to list all databases size by running a stored procedure which exist on the windows host MSSQL
In zabbix documentaion i found within Zabbix agent 2 that additional itmes keys like "Database size in bytes for MySQL and PostgreSQL" only not for MSSQL

Hi. Need your help. I've installed odbc mysql-connector-odbc-5.2.5-8, unixODBC-2.3.1 & unixODBC-devel-2.3.1 in rhel7. It is connected when I run isql command. But when I run the sql query, for example show tables, it shows 'Segmentation fault (core dumped)'. Any idea what is the problem? What should I do? Do I need to upgrade the odbc version? I'm using zabbix 3.4

You dont. Packages are shipped with everything supported. If you are compiling you can choose what you need and what not.

@@zabbixtraining The struggle is real. Is it safe to create the oracle environment variables(ORACLE_HOME, LD_LIBRARY_PATH, TNS_ADMIN) for Zabbix within the zabbix_server.conf file? Otherwise, where or how to set environment variables for zabbix? Please help. Thanks.

How to do SQL jobs monitoring through zabbix
Hi, I have an issue with my Zabbix. When I set new Item and then go to latest data my zabbix server crashes. I use MySQL 8.0 Community Server for Zabbix. Could you please help me what could be wrong? Thank you very much in advance. isql command works. I can connect to db but Zabbix server is crashing repeatedly.
EDIT: I looked that i do not have the driver in /usr/lib/libmyodbc5.so and /usr/lib64/libmyodbc5.so
I used drivers for 8.0 not those you have in video. So, could it be the problem??
Issue fixed. I searched the internet and found that there is some bug and Zabbix can use only some version of odbc connector. I installed version 5.2.7 and it works perfectly. bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=73709 There is descripton of the problem.
Its is not really a zabbix bug. More a mysql fault. As you alreaduly did - sometimes different versions of unixodbc and connector works. Sometimes not. It can happen only if your zabbix backend db is mysql
