Thanks for the great video. I was not used to Flex Innovations Aura 8 and did not set it up correctly as per your instructions and crashed my Cessna 170 last week. Luckily I’ve ordered parts to fix and I’ll be using your video to re configure. Thanks!!
That helps I’m going now with pa18-1300mm and my micro Draco it’s blowing a steady 15 gusting to 30kph I’m either coming home excited or coming home with a new package of glue sticks. Lol. But I’ll have fun doing it. Muchly Grateful ThankYou.
Hello very informative video. Thanks for this but with the Gyro on is it like self leveling like safe or no? Every once and awhile I have that oh S!?@$ moment..will it level when off the sticks in beginner?
SAFE and AS3X are just 2 different modes of the on board gyro. SAFE is self leveling and the AS3X just conteracts outside forces like wind sheer on a plane,
Thank you sir! Question..If I have a Safe/ AS3X receiver can I use it along with the Aura.. or do I have to take Aura out and just use Spectrum safe receiver alone? I’m an intermediate flyer I own several planes. I just like to have the added security of safe and I like those flex innovation planes. I want to get one.
I did this like you showed but my flaps are reversed. and at first the right wings flap and aileron is switched. they had the servo plugs for the aileron and flap switched so i changed that and that fixed that but flaps are still reversed. Time for an AR 620.
@@FatGuyFliesRC I got it figured out. the right wing wires were marked wrong and i think I had it set on the wrong wing type. thanks for your help and thanks for this video it was a big help.
Hey Brother I hope all is well. I was wondering what is your cut off to not fly for wind speed. I’m in Canada on the east coast about 2 miles from the ocean so we get a lot of wind and I’m a novice pilot so I’m nervous and don’t want to wreck. But I think I’m limiting my self. I fly mostly high wing planes what kind of wind can say a 1300mm handle. I just want to fly more.
Its so much more what your comfortable with and how much confidence you have in that plane. i have a 70mm EDF and with jets you normaly dont fly when it is too windy well not so with me and the FMS avanti s 70mm. BECAUSE I have enormous confidence with that plane. Now to help you...start on a more windy day then your ok with and only fly into the wind and land into the wind. Keep it at least 3 mistakes high and just get used to the way the wind moves the plane and learn how to carefully react to it making the plane do what you want. Then start landing with a little more throttle than you normally use to keep the same airspeed you normally land with. If it takes a few go arounds until it feels right then do it. Next tip fly with a little bit bigger battery than you normally do but put it in the same spot where you put your regular battery. This will give you more weight and better wind penetration however it also will make your plane a little more nose heavy so be ready for that. As far as a wind mph I really can't say, it is more about you. Keep trying and pushing your self to fly in stronger wind. Wind makes for a strong pilot but yes it does increase the chance for crashing. But no growth without some risk!! Good luck and most off all have fun!!!
@@txkflier Thankyou My friend I was wondering at what wind speed does it become not fun because you’re trying to manage the wind and the plane. I do use a gyro and I usually fly in safe I’m not to skilled. I use the simulator but I don’t know if it’s downloaded properly I can’t take the planes out of safe on the simulator and I can’t change the weather. I guess they figure I’m fine weather flyer I don’t need it. lol THANKS AGAIN
People were struggling with this so let's fix that!!
Great video!! Crystal clear and was really easy to follow. Thanks!!
I really appreciate it! I tried to make the process as clear and easy to follow as possible.
Thanks for your set up help...Kenny
You bet
Your video on rv8 60e is great..thanks for this..🇺🇸😁👍
Glad you liked it!
I love the setup videos
Thanks a very specific one but people were struggling with the Aura 8.
Excellent content about the Aura 8. The iX-14 really shows up great on the camera.
Thanks this will make it easier to do shop videos.
@@txkflier Cool i will check it out.

Thanks, and sorry about the 170. Trust the AURA it works real well.
You made me buy this plane, and I love it. Only change I made was a am670 motor and esc.
Well I love mine and I hope the change was a good one for you. Thanks for the visit.

Glad to help but again it is all about you and what your willing to push yourself at. Keep em flying!!!!

Any time you have SAFE turned on, if you let go of the sticks it will self level the plane yes. AS3X gyro will not self level.

Is this the same procedure for futaba? Regarding crow
Should be but I can't confirm m it.
Any throttle cut issues? I upgraded to an NX8 now my throttle cut is jacked up😡
None whatsoever. try rebinding and then reset your throttle cut.

Did you reach out to FLEX for help?

Ok?
Why must you continue to say Aurora when it is spelled Aura!
Yeah i know and I realized that after I produced the video...lol well at least I got all the text right in the thumbnail and video description.
He did say Aura at least once in the video.
