We live in crazy times - everyone stresses freedom of thought and at the same time less pleasant thoughts get people cancelled. Even if i fully support lgbtq peoples right to adopt, it goes completely against freedom of thought to not allow a Middle Aged Gay man another opinion.. I am repelled by cancel culture and how „hate speech“ has been used in such an inflated way that it has gotten devalued as a judgment for the cases it is really used for unacceptable behavior.. I don’t Know that Virgil had to do with cancel culture. But i can’t help but feel this stressing of freedom of thought whilst not filling the term with meaning makes it an empty shell and it s far too important for that
