Adding some baby powder on the tube and inside the tire helps immensely. Just the friction between the sticky tube and tire, can cause tubes to blow out early especially if the pressure starts to get low..

I had washers on both sides of the shaft. I didn’t remember whether they went inside or outside of the forks, but there didn’t seem to be enough space inside the forks with the fender.

The V3 seems to have two washers (one on each side of the fork) and a different fender placement. Please confirm or update the description of the video because I'm having a hell of a time trying to put this wheel back on following the instructions of the video.
First off I want to appreciate you making this video, it allowed me to pull off what I thought beyond me. There must be something wrong with the tire or rim as when I took it off( the inner tube), I filled it up with my pump and submerged it in the sink of water and there was no hole. I replaced it with a new tube anyway put everything back together filled it up went for a short ride, and it was flat again. So I’m not sure what the issue is, but the air escapes somehow.
What 10" tire should we buy for the Phantom as you have two options on your Canadian website. One for the Explore & Ghost and another for the Air & Air Pro, or will either do?

Question. I am wondering how to fully pump the tire up after placing the motor in because the piece I need to pump air into is very tight under the rim and motor but goes in the way yours does.
Tip of the pro , don't use the allen keys provided with your scooter, they are not good quality and will strip your bolts, use real ones sold at the tool store. The Wera brand shown it hte video are the best
Hey Nathan, Removing the callipers can help with the reinstallation of the wheel after replacing the tube/tire, in that you don't have to try an re-align the brake disk in the pads when reinstalling.
@@ApolloScooters got it. I recently popped my tired and was changing the tires, after the change, the brakes/ rotor and wheel started making a loud screeching noise. Suspected that the caliper mount is bent after thorough checking. I own the Apollo Phantom 60V. Any recommendation? Call in to order some replacement parts for it?
These things get flat tires constantly. I've had mine for 3 months and have had to fix 4 flats. Buy yourself a pallet of inner tubes because your going to need them, tires are garbage.
Replacing the front tire tube on the Phantom 23. The nuts holding the wheels on are 21mmm not 18mmm as stated in the video. There is also a clip that is holding the motor wire to the front fork that needs to be removed. The motor cable is also tie wrapped to the front fender.

Guess I'll ask this question again: The '22 Ghost takes 10" x 3" tires, but requires 10" x 2.5" inner tubes. The '23 Phantom takes 10" x 3" tires, but does it also require 10" x 2.5" inner tubes? Are tires and tubes on the Ghost and Phantom interchangeable?
@@sergiolandz6056 Yep, I recently discovered 10x2.5 and 10x3 both work great. As long as the valve stem is at a 90 degree angle. What an ordeal changing those tire though! Takes forever.
The primary nuts are awash with what looks like loctite I simply cannot remove the break hand side nut no matter how much pressure even body weight. Utter overkill
I spent a lot of money on this scooter and with fewer than 150 miles on the clock, the lack of quality in both materials and construction is deeply disappointing. You've assembled it with low-grade hardware and seemingly everything is over-torqued. Three of six brake disc screws stripped out when using the proper allen key. Similar situation when removing stem bolt recall screws. This is completely unacceptable; will be contacting CS on this.
Hello everybody, Here is my 1 month review on Apollo V2. Overall the build quality is very good, the ride is smooth and fast - it’s a great scooter. However, there is a super big BUT… First of all, I’m a doctor from Johns Hopkins University and I bought this scooter to commute in Baltimore to work (I had an Etwow S2 scooter for 5 years, which was great, however the battery was getting old and I wanted something faster). When the scooter arrived I was hesitant to keep it because it was fairly big - you definitely can’t hop on the Bus with it (for example if it starts raining) and it’s difficult to put it in the trunk - although possible (I have a normal sized sedan). The super big BUT with the scooter is the following ==> Flat TIRES!!!! When my scooter arrived I accidentally saw online that many people complained about flat tires! It is REAL GUYS and is super serious! I got my first flat tire only on my 3rd trip/day, which was super super annoying because I needed to go to work but when I came outside I realized that the back tire was flat. It was kinda pain the the but to fix it few days later. And yes, I was late to work and patients were waiting for me!!! Because the ride quality is actually really nice, I decided to give it another try and come up with something. My friend recommended me to buy Armor-Dilloz Filler, which I did. I also purchased a special rubberized band to prevent flats that installed between the tire and the tube! Few days ago I’m getting another flat guys when coming back from work (~5 miles from work to where I live) - I have to drag the scooter for a few miles and finally my wife was able to pick me up about 1 mile from home (some difficulty putting it in the trunk by the way as mentioned above). The question is, how in the world did I get a second flat tire 1 month with 2 “anti-flat modifications”. I’m riding on the bike lanes, don’t do anything crazy (no jumping, off road riding). I had my Etwow scooter for 5 years and never had any problem with it (ride was good, super portable, much cheaper, never flats). I’m very disappointed that I had to pay a little over $2000 for this scooter and I CAN’T RELY ON IT!!! Someone can literally die in the hospital if I get late. Another small things is those 2 caps at the charging port are really bad quality - one was disconnected out of the box (I’m talking about the plastic cord that should be attached to it was missing a tiny part) - now the second charging port plastic peace is disconnected. Those rubberized covers for the screws - 2 got lost already. I’m just dissapointed that I bought this as a means of commute, but you can’t trust it. I’d rather have hollow tires and it being heavier.

It’s difficult to say, maybe because it’s cold outside at Baltimore -> that causes to lower the tire pressure from 50 PSI at home/room temperature to below and making tire to pinch?! I had to ride my old scooter to work today, Phantom is soo much smoother and enjoyable ride, I surely hope that this issued with flat tires can be fixed.
4 month Update! I finally figured what was going on with the help of my friend and also Apollo support. My back tire was under-inflated (probably few PSI below recommended 50 + close to freezing temp caused air to compress more) and was causing pinched tire! I filled it to like 53-55 PSI and haven’t had another flat for 2 month ago! I love the ride and would highly recommend this brand and scooter! It’s brings joy to me every single day - I don’t have to pay $1400 per year for parking at our hospital, don’t have to wait through a bunch of stupid unsynchronized Baltimore traffic lights, safe in gas, etc! Highly recommend! Customer service is also great and helpful - they have send me a new tire and two tubes last time I had a problem (initial review)
Why the fuck did I have to watch a video for this information … What ever happened to the days of a printed instruction manual that had step by step illustration and maybe pictures. The information is of excellent quality, but I LOATHE the fact I had to keep scrubbing back and forward awkwardly on my phone to check and recheck things or keep stoping and starting the video to follow along. This would have been infinitely more useful for me if you had ALSO made a step by step picture/illustration guide outlining each step so I could scroll down through the page or PDF as I completed each step. I’m getting really sick of all instructions/documentation being in video form.
Horribly built scooter made for a ridiculously difficult job, even with this video. The majority of this was not in any way as easy as it was made to look.

I honestly don’t know how you had such a hard time. I am in no way mechanically inclined, but I watched this video step-by-step, pausing it every time I needed to do something. I had a little trouble remembering where the fender fit into it all, but once I figured that out it was cake.

the lug nuts are so hard to get off. i rounded one of them out trying to remove it.

The axle nuts on a V2 Phantom are 21mm! I went out and bought a 18mm wrench only to find my Phantom axle nuts are 21mm

The motor wire is held into place on the front wheel assembly by a small bracket to direct the cable away from the hub.
