SAMSUNG N150 PLUS take apart video, disassemble, how to open disassembly

  • Hi!
    No music. No talking. Just work.
    If you are taking your SAMSUNG N150 PLUS netbook apart be careful and wear an anti-static wrist band or use other anti-static device. If you need to change a LCD usually you don't have to take screen out of a laptop. You can leave it on a laptop and watch the last part of the video where I am taking LCD apart. If you need to change a keyboard, you don't have to take all bottom screws out. There are usually some marks, like a keyboard picture, on a case bottom. If you need to put a laptop back to work be aware of screws. They are different and you better remember or mark them somehow to insure that you will put them back in to a right place.
    Some laptops I take apart first time, so don't be serious on my time and performance.
    If something got broken - ooops, it's your fault.
    Believe me, some parts in your laptop are already broken, you just don't see that.
    This video is like insurance for your laptop. With this video and some skills you will be always sure that at least you can try to repair your laptop. If it's broken you don't have to sell it or throw it away. You can find some new or used parts somewhere and change it. It maybe will be your new job or hobby. And if it didn't worked out you still will be able to ask somebody else to fix it.
    So, just watch this video and fix your laptop.
    Have fun and good luck!!

    Found one on the trash a month ago. Everything worked except the screen was broken, someone punched it clearly. Salvaged everything I could from it. Great HD inside, reused the backlight from the screen to make a lightbox and am now working on the internal webcam to make it a USB webcam :)
    So much fun to take apart these machines!

    Excellent take apart Geek man. Thank you so much. Now I'm gonna try it but I can't do it as fast as you cause I'm a baby tech. Gotta label everything to put it back together after I solder the power jack in place.

    • @regazzz
      @regazzz  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      No need to do that fast. Just do it right and make sure you will note all screws and cables (make pics) where they are coming from.

      Hi, thanks. I found the problem to be deeper than I thought. Cracked MB. Around area of jack. Is almost completely torn away save a connection to another metal peice next to it. Looks as though also a peice is bent on jack. Will find and look at layout of MB and determine what jack should look like. Bent peice keeps me from putting broken area together with rest of board. If I can do that maybe I can make something happen. I'm trying something that's what techs do, right? Have a good one.

    I have one of those and was considering sticking some parts in it from another laptop I tore down. It seems though there is only 1 ram slot, which I could make 2GB, but I have 2 of them so that is not so good. Also it is a pretty intense take apart to get to the hd part. I have a 320, I think the original was 160... Think I may just leave it alone. If I can't unload my ram I will maybe upgrade to 2GB.

    Can you please tell me where the CMOS battery is? I need to get rid of the Invalid password bug (the reset thing didn't work - according to the internet forums, I am not the only one stuck with Invalid password bios error message)... The last hope is to remove the CMOS battery, but I don't know where it is.. Thanks.

      Silentbreez1 I had to do this BIOS password reset yesterday with a friend's N150.
      I used bios-pw.org/
      In first attempt with the password failed hash it suggested 1111111d, but it did not work. I tried again with the following hash and it suggested 11111111. I almost could not believe it, but this password worked!
      I hope it is useful for you, I confirm you that it can be done.

  • @regazzz
    @regazzz  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi,
    does it start only on battery? Battery is charging? Does it start only on power supply if battery removed?
    Otherwise it can be either non working power button, or not connected power button or bad motherboard.
    Investigate one after another one... or just bring it to a trusted technician who knows what he is doing.

      Hi there, it wasn't shown in this video. You should be able to unplug the CMOS battery, but you would need to remove the motherboard. It is on the other side.
