It has been 28 years since you left us and the memory remains. you were a wonderful person because sensitive funny persevering talented and so beautiful. Your father can be very proud of you. A big thought for Eliza the love of your life. Rest in peace Brandon and for eternity. You will be in my heart forever With all my love
It's irony. The big blonde dude was the one raised overseas and thus understands Japanese culture. Meanwhile the mixed Asian heritage character was raised "in the valley;" wealthy family, completely Americanized. His Japanese mom had him study martial arts to at least get some taste of the culture yet he remains pretty much oblivious.
@@jonnyg9865 true, but they still kinda made Dolph the badass one compared to Brandon who was portrayed as the weaker fighter and mainly for comedic relief
I don't think they made him weird, he was a decent fighter in the movie who is also a badass comic relief, they just made the movie too 80's. And it looked like a buddy cop movie not a Dolph Lundgren vehicle. I like Lundgren but let's be clear, hollywood never saw him as a good lead. They took a risk here, they hired Lundgren because of his short fame and Lee because of his father's name. There was no reason to paint Lee's character in bad light, the movie was already risky enough to flop. And money is everything in hollywood. I think the movie is a good 80's action flick, it is stupid but this what makes the 80's good. And yes, I know the movie was made in the 90's, when I say 80's I'm not talking about the date. It's like modern Boomer Shooters are 90's games. But I can be wrong and you right.
@@jonnyg9865 Yes, I always felt they aim to irony here, peoples expected Lee to be the asian expert and Lundgren the outsider who make things done in the asian criminal underworld. They successfully subverted the expectations even if it was not a big deal considering both actor looks good int he fighting scenes.
@@jonzwikk1582 The irony is fine but, yeah, they did make Brandon's character a bit of a spaz and then there's that penis compliment. Woof. Still a fun, kickass actioner tho.
Brandon is many things but creepy..... he's brandon portraying characters in a movie .... characters need character development.... movies can't make themselves
Quite sick posting this about a dead man at he start of his movie career. Face it, he done a better job than you ever could fella. The film is still an enjoyable watch nearly 30 years on. Treat it as the entertainment that it is & delete this video.
Wow dude, you have some serious problem. The uploader obviously likes the movie and likes the character this is why he made the video. This is what he wrote: "Brandon Lee is a creepy do uche bag in Showdown in Little Tokyo" at least try to read around before you butthurt yourself! I understand we living in an age where people are overly sensitive and they expect others to act differently around them, to censor themselves so they can't hurt other's feeling. I understand your feelings hurt and understand you have the right to your safe space, but there is no safe space on the internet so just accept other people like they are. Some people have dark humor and this may hurt you but you can't do anything about it. My advice is almost like yours: Treat this video as the entertainment that it is & don't delete your comment! I don't believe in censorship.
Brandon Lee was legend just like his dad....
He's the reason I love that movie. He was so funny and talented. I wish he was still with us. RIP.
A douche? Maybe. Creepy? Nah. It's crude humor and I enjoy it, it's part of the charm of his character 🤙

Great movie.Brandon Lee killed it.
Goofy geeky lines lol 😂 that’s awesome Miss Brandon Lee!
That douche attitude was kind of cool. I'm he enjoyed that role.
I think they had to make Brandon the weird asian guy in this movie so that he wouldn't outshine the main star Dolph

Exactly!👍 Plus, that's why it's called acting.

Because he read some lines? Played a character in a movie?
Yes he’s not calling Brandon Lee a creepy douche but he’s referring to the character Brandon played in Showdown In Little Tokyo
Dude, grow up! The uploader obviously like the actor and it looks like he like the role he played too. Don't make problems where there is no problem!
