❤ your reaction!❤ "Just you and Me", "If You Leave Me Now", "Youre the Inspiration", "Saturday in the Park", "Wake up Sunshine".... Those are some of my faves of 1970s Chicago that you haven't reacted to. Would love to hear them with your reaction! ❤❤❤
One of the best on their first singles from their very first album which made them an instant legend. They kept that high level up through their first 6 albums with no peers at that love in that funky jazzy , touch of blues style!Love the congas with that tribal or island feel!
I was 4. I had a kid piano. My father was a jazz guitarist, there was always music on. I loved this song, I started playing to this song on my piano. I remember my father saying Look she’s playing it! Two days later a piano arrived 😊
... and the rest is history. I was also fortunate to grow up in a musical family and learned to play a half dozen instruments by the time I was a teenager, which is why I can appreciate a band like Chicago.
First album, and they were legends right out of the gate. Drums and bass stand out for much of the song, then the dueling horn solos at the end are just amazing.
Listening to Chicago I think that you hear and experience the blending of many genres of music. Seeing Chicago in concert is an amazing experience. Seeing the members of the band interact with each other gives a sense of their joy in being together and sharing their music with the audience. It is just Chicago sharing their music and their joy with the audience. No smoke or mirrors no dancers. Loved the video great job
I love your reaction. Chicago was my favorite band in my teen years and ‘Beginnings’ was one of my favorites and still is. I picked up the remastered 180g vinyl and sing this song to my wife every time we play it. One of the best love songs ever. Also, I love your tee shirt! ❤❤❤
There's a fantastic group of musicians from Ukraine/Russia (begun way before the stupid war), Leonid & Friends. They originally started out by covering Chicago songs, note for note but with today's production values. Truly worth checking out, tons of vids of them covering Chicago, Earth Wind & Fire, and others.
Ah, the excellence of Chicago! Sadly, after the late great Terry Kath died, Chicago began a downward spiral into a sappy ballad band without the horns. If you haven't yet, I would suggest "25 Or 6 To 4" from the Tanglewood concert. You will be able to witness the true magnificence of Terry Kath on lead guitar.
Chicago has always been a great band. Terry was a great guitar player and vocalist. But the band has never been about any individual musician. It is a group of musicians coming together and producing music that has been placed in many different musical genres. Have you listened to any of their more recent albums. The latest album from Chicago, that I have, is Born For This Moment. This album was copywrited 2022 and has all new songs. Give it a listen before you judge them.
Now THAT is song writing. No better place to learn than chicagos first 4 albums
Yes the early ones are better than the later ones!❤
So much fun to watch this done at Tanglewood Live.
One of their best songs imo. Danny Seraphine on drums is so underrated 🥁
Really liked the way you caught Danny Seraphine's drumming. Goes right over the heads of a lot of reactors.

That Bassline by PC is just sick!

One of their greats!! Love Chicago from the 70s!
Yes .. this album was released April 1969... I was just about to turn 13 and spent the summer trying to learn these bass parts. Amazing.
Glad you enjoyed one of my favorites from 55 years ago. Keep your mind open brother and you'll be blessed by some great music among other things
Such craftsmanship.

He already reacted to 24 or 6 to 4. I agree that one was superb.❤

YOU BECOME WHAT YOU DO
If you want to take a journey with their music, listen to "Introduction " of the same album.
