They claimed they terminated their contract and no longer artists of Ador, but the company said otherwise. I don't think these girls were properly advised by a lawyer about contract termination. It's not like subscription that if you do not want the service, you just cut it and done. There is so much legal process to do this. Until then, they are still binded with Ador whether they like it or not.

    • @michellemiller6042

@justme-zm9eo Totally agree. They said they would continue doing their other activities. Those activities overseas involve transportation, security, plane fare, hotel, and food. Seems like Ador is protecting them. I don't think they themselves are arranging all of the above. Who is paying for their dorm? Ador/HYBE. Who arranged the receipt of a contract with fashion products/clothing? Who paids them? Ador/HYBE. How can they say they will or want to be free to do whatever they want, and if that's the case, then the court will be overwhelmed with other solo/groups artist wanting to terminate their contracts due to wanting to do what they want and without paying a penalty.

@@bunzobunnyy That makes absolutely no sense. Why would a company sabotage one of its own groups? Especially a successful one. But I don't feel sorry for them at all. Hybe filed a lawsuit against Min Hee Jin, not NJ. MHJ pushed NJ between her and Hybe knowing that people like you would fall for her scheme, and because of their inexperience and grooming by MHJ, they have sabotaged themselves. But, after Hybe is done suing MHJ and everyone else involved in her smear campaign to hurt Hybe and steal Ador and NJ, something that she planned 3 years ago with the help of a shaman btw, maybe you'll see who has actually harmed NJ and other artists who she also pushed between her and Hybe's lawsuits against her.

@@bunzobunnyy Artist sabotage by the label is a literary trope. It doesn't actually happen, it's just a topic of conversation in fandoms, people who don't work, obviously. No label sabotages their artists. Every time you bring up label sabotage, you're already talking about something that has zero value in court and, in fact, doesn't exist. As you can see, the CEO changed a few months after the audit. They just had to wait and they would have continued their careers with the new CEO and new staff, even with MHJ as creative director.

I’m surprised people don’t see what’s unfolding here. This press conference wasn’t just about MHJ and NewJeans-it was about shifting the narrative to “HYBE vs. an artist” rather than “a small, new label vs. an established group leveraging its fandom.”
While NewJeans likely has a legal team, their understanding of the situation seems limited. Their PR agency clearly prepared their statements and responses, but their answers eventually came off as redundant and naive.
Regarding the notice, ADOR had 14 days to respond, which is standard for discussions and mediation in business practices. However, they didn’t wait the full 14 days-falling a few hours short-before holding the press conference and declaring contract termination, echoing the missteps of the Fifty Fifty case. ADOR’s response, however, feels more calculated. If ADOR’s claim that NewJeans refused to communicate is true, the blame could shift to the group in court.
Some argue that ADOR didn’t address the core issues, but I think they’ve covered their legal bases to demonstrate good faith, especially on matters involving third parties. It seems ADOR isn’t planning to file for contract termination just yet. Instead, they appear to be waiting-perhaps for NewJeans to breach the contract or initiate legal action first.
If NewJeans starts taking gigs or hiring new staff, ADOR could claim a breach of contract, putting the burden of proof on the group. If neither side acts, this could result in a prolonged standoff, potentially dragging on until 2029. However, if NewJeans refuses to fulfill their contractual duties, that alone could constitute a breach, giving ADOR grounds to act.
From snippets of the press conference, one member stood out for being particularly quiet. I’m curious to see what she might reveal in the future. While I suspect one member could play a key role in resolving this, there’s also the possibility of MHJ cutting ties with the group entirely, especially if this situation drags on and impacts her upcoming hearing.

Perhaps such disputes should be resolved according to the terms of the contract and Korean law with the presence of both parties,

      @PetitsPas_ 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +18

@@kubka4 ADOR is a two-year-old label with one group under its umbrella-a small company, not the giant HYBE people imagine. While ADOR is a subsidiary of HYBE, it operates independently (as previous court rulings have highlighted), and has to justify its expenses and deliver results. Yes, HYBE and investors profit, but the real stakes are for ADOR’s employees, who rely on its success for their jobs and livelihoods.
If ADOR fails, HYBE will recover, but ADOR won’t. MHJ seems determined to leave the company an empty shell, which could mean no ADOR-and no jobs-for the people working there. This isn’t about protecting a giant corporation like HYBE; it’s about understanding the very real risks for a small team of people who depend on ADOR’s success to put food on the table and moreover worked endlessly to make NewJeans. The narrative shouldn’t focus solely on HYBE vs. NewJeans-there’s more at stake here than just the idols and the parent company.

Truth is, Hybe could just replace these girls with five other girls and call it a day. Not writing, coreographing or having established themselves in ANY WAY shape or form in this industry does this. New jeans doesn‘t have a single member that sticks out with something other than their appearance. They were literally just mhj‘s dolls that breathed life into her „vision“ (whatever the loving f she actually made up herself). It could have been anyone. What makes new jeans, new jeans is their music, which those five girls sitting there do not create.

Who is paying for the staff for the trip to Japan? Bodyguards? Do they think that upcoming gigs just show up? Also, I am confused about artistic freedom they said was lacking at Ador. Were they stopped from writing their own music or something? They are damaging their reputation-the part of them telling sponsors not to worry that they will fulfill their obligations….I would not want them to advertise my product right now. Because everything is so sketchy. I’m still waiting to hear exactly what was so abusive? Telling my kids to ignore the person who seems unreasonable is standard. at the end of the day, new jeans remains a rookie group that released only two mini albums and three singles. not much of a discography there yet to show any lasting artistry. their so-called "success" is not deep-rooted, and is based on short-term "trendiness." they do not even write, compose, or produce their own music; they rely on a creative team to dictate their music & choreography as puppet performers. the group is essentially a product of PR imaging, and paid media can only take them so far. the individual members are not yet even established as solo artists; without the new jeans name, they have nothing else.

Because you can't apply for resignation by announcing to the world, "I'm resigning from this company".

New Jeans literally are Over. (Just my opinion)
NJ really are living in a Fantasy Delulu World created by MHJ
Cancel the contract but still fulfilling their obligations? Then it's not cancelled!
They have no right to the Name "New Jeans" if they cancel their contracts as only a handful of Idols have kept their names after leaving old companies and that is only because they left on Good Terms, also Ador and Hybe literally own the Intellectual rights to the Songs, these princesses Don't own the right to any of it.
Korean Business Law and Contract law is Legally on Ador side automatically literally they are treating contracts like a TH-cam Subscription.
What new evidence was submitted at the National Assembly Hanni, None they literally just explored the issues that the Public already knew about.
Advertisement Contracts that were between Ador and the advertisers the money goes to Ador not the New Jeans members are they that dumb, this is why minors should stop being debuted.

The New Jeans group, they have the ego and the arrogance. Therefore I dedicate this phrase to you. Arrogance is a feeling of superiority that a person experiences in relation to others. It is born from the irrational belief of deserving more recognition, attention or privileges than others.

When I read here that you haven't read the small print, I feel like throwing up. You experts probably all have your contracts to hand? This isn't just about the termination of your mentor, but also about many other grievances that have always been a part of this "K-pop" product. What would you do in the case of bullying and sexual harassment in the workplace? Mind you, some of these are still children. Terminating a contract there is child's play. After all these accusations, the agency should be punished. You must never forget that no matter which group, they always started there as children. As I said, "CHILDREN". How many artists have suffered over there, physically or mentally? The main thing is to squeeze money out of them while you can. It's time these agencies were given a few rules and, better yet, laws. The girls were the first to react correctly and I take my hat off to them, something has to change there and someone has to take the initiative. Or are all suicides due to exhaustion and physical illness normal and justified for you? I can only hope that others follow suit. With that in mind, have a nice weekend and stay healthy ✌️
