This is from the 1950's and the birth of rock and roll. There were many great songs, which is one of many reasons rock became popular and most of those songs were empty but very powerful musically. It's also one of the reasons why older people long for the 50's and want to bring society back to that time and the way that music made them feel.

The Four Seasons were always fantastic!! This is early '60s. You ought to check out their other hits...which are equally wonderful. As for mispronunciation, yes, I find it appalling that educated people here in the U.S., people who ought to know better, pronounce eye-ran and eye-raq for Iran and Iraq. This is ignorance on steroids.

One of the greatest songs ever in my opinion. Also dig Dawn and Candy Girl. Frankie is about 85, still performs occasionally. Very good singer
