Don't tip ANYONE ever. I'm not cheap. I have worked in service industry. I get it. But every time you tip you are taking the burden of paying workers off the owner and putting it on yourself. The food industry is the absolute worst. They have gotten us used to a culture of paying 15-25% more for our food in the guise of a "tip". At the same time they pay their workers minimum wage. They used to pay less than minimum since waiterstaff gets tips. I think we can all see how we are all being played in this equation. The best tip you can give someone is to tell them to demand from their boss what they are worth.
A tip also perpetuates the idea that some of us are better than others. Puts people in a groveling position. Hand out, yes sir, anything you want, just bless me with your cash.
A better world is waiting, just stop tipping.
