    Just an FYI, the original Child's History of the World isn't secular. Bookshark had it revised exclusively for them to fit a secular homeschool program by omitting the religious content. If you wanted you could probably switch out the revised one for the original if you wanted a more biblical perspective. :)
    Thank you for the review! I love how close you got with showing the insides of the books!

    Wow, everything in one day. How long did it tske when you did all of this in one day? Was it just the history portion that you did in one book?

    Loved this review Michelle! Glad to hear how you addressed the secular aspect. All the read aloud books looked great!

    We are using bookshark now as 1st time homeschoolers and I LOVE IT!! Really took away the stress of not knowing what I should do day by day. Having the lesson plans saved my sanity!
    There isnt a book we have read that we haven't liked yet either. I also go the language arts plan too and it's working well for my older one. He's not a huge fan of the spelling work though. I'm going to see if I can change it up somehow everything else is a total win. Glad to see I'm not the only mom loving it!
    Shhhhhhh I think I love some of the books more than my kids 😂 overall though my kids also ask me to keep reading through books and not stop which ik totally okay with. The snuggle time is the best 💖💖 soak it up mama.

    I love your review, Michelle! I would actually consider BookShark if we weren’t already happy with following The Well Trained Mind!

      @ACommonLife  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      We love The Well Trained Mind, too. I'm going back to First Language Lessons next school year because we already have the curriculum and the kids will be going to the cottage school for other classes.

    Hi,
    I don’t think you’re using this anymore, but I was wondering if you had a video of how you incorporated this into your overall curriculum? Like a day in the life type thing- just wondering how to add this with other subjects (I’m looking at the Kindergarten level) thanks!

      @ACommonLife  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Sadly, I don't have a video of that, but I'll tell you when we ended up doing last year. We dedicated two days a week for BookShark. One was for the History and the other for science and we did the read alouds and readers every school day. I hope that helps!

    We will be doing this level of bookshark next year, we really love all about reading and I used it this year. Would it be too much to have these readers for him to read with bookshark along with all about reading?

    • @ACommonLife
      @ACommonLife  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do not know enough about All About Reading, but I think that the reading for BookShark is very manageable. It doesn't take much time and the books are really interesting.

    Oh my gosh I was so confused with the customization tab first two minutes is like being hit in the head with a frying pan.

      Sorry that you were confused! It is a lot to take in, but once it is organized, it all makes sense.

    Are you still using Bookshark? Will you use it again?

    • @ACommonLife
      @ACommonLife  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      We are not using BookShark because we sent our kids to a hybrid homeschool now, so their History and Science is included at the school.
