As an Iowan, this is the quintessential beer for us. Whether it's mowing the lawn, sharing a beer with a neighbor, it's always a Busch light. Definitely cheap and highly available; one of my local grocery stores had 12 packs on sale for six bucks! We have some great local craft brews/IPAs, but whenever I get worn out on those I always find myself going back to Busch. Cheers!
Here in Texas, this beer is all over the place And if you ever see it in California again The 30 packs usually have like a camo theme this time of year. This year they went with a duck hunting theme. They usually do like a military digital type.
I think the reason the macro lager reviews are so popular is because most of us who drink craft beers drank macro lagers as part of our beer journey. Especially those of us over 40. In college (mid 90's) we could get a case of Milwaukees Best for under $10. We used to have March Madness style "shotgun" tournaments with the Beast. If you won, you were the man, but you were also hammered! Good times! Great review as always. Cheers!
Busch Light is a staple in Eastern Washington, often the cheapest beer sold in stores and at bars. It's my dad's brand, which thanks to the wonderful magic of pilfering means it was the first beer I drank growing up. I like Miller Lite more because it has flavor but Busch Light is so much cheaper. Impressive how much Busch Light and Natural Light taste like water.
What up dude...I never drank Busch Light living in San Diego, I actually never saw it. When I moved Clemson...Go Tigers!, it was everywhere. It's a regional thing. The cheap brew at SDSU was Keystone, Rolling Rock, or PBR. Busch Light is the kind of beer that you can drink all day at a tailgate and still walk around sober. Gas stations literally bring pallets in for game days. Dive bars sell it for $1. Weird thing is that virtually no one drinks Natty Light here. I can say that it's better than Bud Light. Keep up the good work my man. And fuck Dean Spanos! Bring back my Chargers!
Busch Light was our college town beer. Every liquor store always had Busch Light kegs for $60(10-15 years ago). This being said, I always thought it was just extra carbonated, more metallic tasting Bud Light.
Nebraska, stays in the shop fridge and it's the go to after working outside in the sun all afternoon. Can usually find a 30 pack for around 20 bucks. I can't argue with that price for a beer I don't hate.
I live in Northeast Tennessee. Great beer when its hot and humid outside. So if you are out doing yardwork or working outside in the heat and humidity. This hits the spot. Pairs well with food, snacks, or stand alone.
I'm in the Cleveland Suburbs-Busch Light is sold in quantity everywhere, including box stores like Costco and Sams Club. They even have seasonal can designs. I bought a large pack of i t early this summer because there was a rebate and it was absurdly cheap. It's very drinkable, on the very lightest and smoothest side of the light beers (it's only 99 calories). I like it better than Natural Light (though they are similar), but it doesn't have the level of taste that Miller Lite has you referenced. It's perhaps a few dollars more than Natural Light in 30 packs and a few dollars less than Miller Lite. I actually have all 3 in my garage fridge right now!
@@jsenigaglia Had one last night sitting in the backyard on the computer, they go down very easy! (and I'm a lightweight). Enjoy your reviews, always entertaining!
I live in Phoenix Arizona and for the first time tonight purchased Busch light 25 oz cans 3 pack add circle k because my Bud light is 9 bucks for 3:25 Oz cans and this is 4.50 for 3 25 Oz cans
Busch light is at every place that sells alcohol in the Midwest. I am a fan of it especially on a very hot day, it will actually keep you from getting dehydrated because it’s pretty much water. 20 bucks for a 30 pack is not bad either. It is on tap in every restaurant(even the nice ones)
I’m from Kentucky but live in Florida now. Busch light is very available in Kentucky. Here in Orlando it’s not as available but you can find it at certain gas stations.
It's crazy how popular Busch light is in the midwest. I went to USC and saw tons of keystone and natural through college but never saw Busch light. You go to St Louis or Omaha Nebraska every restaurant has it even nice classy steak houses.
$20 for a 30 pack in southern Indiana and it's everywhere here. When my palate is getting worn out on craft stuff, and I'm looking for a cheap AAL, I'll grab this. Cheers!
Ive did a blind taste test of busch light/natty light. very hard to tell the difference. I usually keep a light beer on hand, and right now i have nqtty light but i do like to rotate between natty, busch light, coors light, miller lite. And i typically keep some full flavored beers on hand like sam adams varietys. Since ive gotten older(46) i drink more light beers when im having say 6-12 while watching a ball game. my full flavors are for days when im having just a couple. Then a nite cap sometimes of a good bourbon! I luv ur reviews! budget beers, crafts, whiskeys, they are all fun to watch. even crafts i pay attention to the aromas and tastes u get and see if i get similar things in craft beers in my area. im in northwest north carolina. cheers! 🍻
I love comments like this, and appreciate you watching the reviews! Good to know Busch Light/Natty Light are much different. Natty Light is regularly available and cheaper than most light beers around me 🍻
Skimmed the comments and surprised to see no one explained why it’s called Busch Latte. I’m sure it *technically* originated somewhere but it’s just an affectionate name that fans gave it. A handful of years ago, ABI embraced it and released commercials/cans branded “Busch Latte.” This is the only domestic anyone in my family ever drinks and we never refer to it as anything but “lattes”
Yeah, it’s just a funny self-aware nickname for the beer. Like trying to make it sound fancy and pretentious when it already has a well-known cheap party beer reputation. I love it lol. The everyman’s beer. 🍻
If you judge your beer by the “how do I feel about it on my tenth can of the night?” test, then Latte is one of the best of the big light macro lagers, in my opinion. It’s in my top 3. Most days top 2. Some days top 1 lol. It feels “cleaner” and easier on my body than most. It’s a slightly more grainy, less sweet Bud Light. More flavor than Natty for the same price. And yes, it is the cheapest 30 pack at the store lmao. One of my most beloved beers tbh. And I share your opinion about Miller Lite having the most flavor.
Nice review. Busch Light is definitely more of a mid-west beer. It's in every campground, boat, bonfire, and hunting stand here in Kentucky. It's Ok- very light. It's a "drink all day" beer.
Ha! I’m in Fargo, ND and a bar around here used to do “pay the day” on Thursdays. You’d pay however many pennies the day of the month was. They stopped it 2-3 years ago but I was always surprised it made it that long
I’ve drank Busch Light almost exclusively for about 5 years now. You can get it everywhere in Kentucky in everything from 6 to 30 packs. Most restaurants have it on tap as well. Last year I drove to Cincinnati when the Yankees played the Reds, and they even sold it there at the stadium. Not on tap but they had the tall cans. I like Miller Lite as well, but Busch is cheaper so I always go that route. A 30 pack of Busch Light is 24 bucks where a 24 pack of Miller Lite is 21. So 3 extra dollars for 6 more beers is a no brainer to me. Natural Light and Keystone Light is a couple dollars cheaper per 30 pack, but I prefer Busch Light to those, so I don’t mind coughing up a couple extra dollars. Oh, and in case you didn’t know, Busch Light is the official beer of NASCAR.
I’m not a NASCAR guy so I didn’t know that, lol. It’s so wild to me this beer is so popular in the Midwest but so scarce out here on the west coast. 🍻🍻

I can buy it in 30 pack cans for $20 and 12 pack glass bottles here in VA. It’s not bad. Cheap, very drinkable, gets the job done. Yes, I do think Busch heavy is better than light IMO, just more flavour and a slightly bigger body
Great Review! I do like Busch light a lot. Living in Ohio Busch light is a big seller. I do prefer regular Busch over it though, that being said regular Busch is still pretty light. Its 4.3 abv and the nutritional value is almost identical to bud light. But if you can get your hands on it, I would like to see a review. Cheers 🍻
I’ll see if I can find some! I do recall my cousins in Akron having Busch Light on hand for their light beer go to. When I was back there last I drank Fat Head and Yeungling 😎

As a fellow Californian I can only remember seeing Busch Light the past few years. I do not think we get regular Busch out here. I have never tried it.
Miller Lite is my go-to light beer. For flavor, price, calories, carbs, and ABV…it has no equal. I also like Milkwaukee’s Best Light as my favorite budget beer, but they only sell the 32 oz crushers or expensive 6 packs of pints in my area of South Texas…for that I’ll just buy Miller Lite. That being said, for the budget beer category, this is my #2. It has good beer flavor compared to Natty Light, and tastes almost like regular Busch. I really don’t like Bud Light or really any of AB’s beers…but Busch Light is very good in its category…I’ll take it over a Keystone Light or Natty Light any time.
I’ll have to see if I can find some Busch and compare them. Busch Light seemed a lot like Natty Light from my memory - which is available to me and cheap AF.
@@jsenigagliaWhat I’ve noticed between Busch Light and Natural Light is that Busch Light has a smoother finish and a slightly more pronounced flavor.
