Well done. Good start. I began collecting these when they first came out and have shelves of this LCG. Fantastic system, art work, deck building and story telling. Looking forward to your next delve into this awesome card game.
I own the first Spanish edition of the game (from 2012 I think?) and I'm a Tolkien sucker ultra fan. This is an amazing game! It just have some absurd scenarios/adventures, nearly unplayable or directly broken (like Return to Mirkwood). Setting those apart, the game is freaking good.
I love this game, and I agree with what you say... but I still feel like Arkham LCG is the better game? By a little? At least as a campaign and on a scaling point of view. It is the child that learned from its' parent's mistakes, in a way. I really wish they aren't done with LotR, though. :(
As a campaign, Arkham is better. But the deck construction is so so so much more satisfying in LOTR. I completely understand why some people prefer Arkham, but as someone who doesn’t like campaigns, but loves the creativity of deep deck building, I find LOTR to be in a completely different league.
@mitch-TO I get it. The way I see it both are great depending on what you are looking for at the time. That is why I can't really put one over the other. I mostly consider Arkham "better" for scaling, but I will admit I'm newer to LotR. But yes. Deckbuilding there is fun.
@@meravl7615 It’s one of those situations where everybody win. Whatever you’re into, FFG has an LCG for you 😂 As much as I love LOTR, I play far more Marvel Champions these days. It’s not quite as deep in deck building (although it’s getting awful close), but it’s just so quick and satisfying. Happy new year!

You are deflinitely right. This game is everything. But it is hard to endure and unforgiving as well as punishing. Like watching the Jets...
Nothing seems punishing compared to the Jets right now…not impossible that my fandom is influencing my appraisal of the game, hahaha
Thanks for this, broski. I have just subscribed. It’s my favourite game too!
Right on, thanks man!
As my friends are not into board games, card games with solo variants are my jam.

Oh yeah, some of the quests are unplayable. I don’t disagree with that.
This is the best card game of all time like Aaron Rodgers is the best QB of all time. 😁
🎶hello darkness my old friend🎶

I will be talking about Arkham and Marvel Champions a bit later in the series, I agree I should explain why I have LOTR above its descendants
