@@KevinS.1415 manny had better fWAR so whats your point? Way better D? Are you using those Defensive stats that contradict each other? DRS judges range, difficulty, and errors. Some how manny is negative in DRS. However, OAA judges range and difficulty. OAA doesnt really take into account errors. Manny is ranked third in OAA right behind Nolan who is second. Manny’s fielding % is 0.966 and nolans is 0.968. Manny also has less errors. So if manny’s fielding is basically identical to nolan, he has less errors than nolan, he is ranked third in OAA, how is his DRS negative and his defense WAR (according to baseball reference) average? Nolan is better defensively but not way better in the same way manny is better than nolan offensively. Baseball reference is also a terrible site that is always changing their defensive metrics. They gave matt chapman a negative defensive WAR rating when he won a platinum glove. They redid their grading and chapman magically had a great defensive year.
When you have players that are this evenly match, you go watch the playoffs. Nolan had 1 H and had a error in game 1 that made the potential of a Cards comeback low. Manny had a way better playoff performance and played elite defense.

Marc doesn’t get Bohm ever. His arm is never the problem, and even his glove was above average towards the end of the season. He was actually ranked as a top 8 defensive third baseman this past session. He is a top 15 third baseman at least, and easily better than a guy like Escobar

It feels wrong to put Riley below the top 3, but J-Ram is insane and Arenado and Machado are too good. It looks very very wrong to have him at number 4 since he's been in the MVP conversation since 2021, but it makes sense once you look further into it. I'd personally have him above J-Ram, but below Arenado and Machado

Comerica park really isn’t nearly as bad of a park for hitters as you always seem to think. Huge gaps allows for tons of extra bases and down the lines is like average for an MLB stadium. As long as you don’t hit it to dead center it doesn’t affect how well a hitter does as much as you make it seem

Walsh belongs higher. He was terrible last year, not because anyone figured him out, because he was hurt. They finally shut him down for surgery. he had compartment syndrome which is an ailment pitchers get. Walsh was a two way player until he got the majors. The injury definitely affected his swing. If he comes back healthy which is expected you his swing should return and he is an elite defender
