Amazing that the leader has only a bugle and not the traditional mace.

It is because the original regiments that went to form the Belgian Guides were Cavalry regiments, therefore no corps of drums and no drum major.

Lurch, the big guy with the clarinet in the last row, should be front and center with the bugle major

that's an oboe :) Notice the very small reed at the top of the instrument

@@lollysticky you are absolutely correct, I didn't look all that close, it is very unusual for a marching band to feature an oboe player, I was caught making an erroneous assumption. 🎶😀
