This incident occurred November 23, 2022! (The day before Thanksgiving)
I didn’t want to post this on a holiday so I thought I would share it today. While my husband and I went shopping to get some last minute items for Thanksgiving we were harassed by these two men at the Neighborhood Walmart on Kessler BLVD & Michigan Road in Indianapolis, Indiana.
While leaving one of the self check outlines the white male photographed demanded a receipt after my husband paid for our items to make sure everything was scanned. My husband wanted to know why before handing over the receipt but he refused to answer. So my husband reluctantly handed it to him to avoid conflict. I have not had an associate check my receipt in years at Walmart. He then accused my husband of stealing diapers placed at the bottom of the cart but those happened to be the first item my husband scanned ($16.98). I did not see either of these Walmart workers check any other receipts but ours. Instead of just apologizing for accusing us of theft in-front of everyone including our son his other Walmart buddy (the one wearing a hat) decided to escalate the situation.
It was truly a humiliating experience, especially being that my child was present. We were accused in front of everyone.
Walmart I strongly suggest that Walmart invest in some cultural awareness training for their non-black associates and to also remind their staff they work for Walmart and not the FBI.
I should also note they refused to give their names because I was going to call corporate.

Get an attorney and sue them for discrimination, we must stop not doing anything about being falsely accused. SUE!
Wow!! So sorry y’all went through that, and I agree with you 💯💯💯💯💯, I wouldn’t shop there, or any other place that’ll accuse me of something I didn’t do.😡

I worked at that one the first guy with no hat is a operational store manager named CHAD real name Chadwick and the second guy is the store manager and his name is MOE
Thank you so much! The crazy thing is before we checked out my husband and I overheard “chad” telling a girl she couldn’t go on her break. So I don’t doubt it. I posted this situation on Facebook and a few people came forward saying they were terrible managers.
