I've been to Graspop 6 times. Brilliant festival.. Met so many great people over the years... Heading to my first Bloodstock next month... can't wait. .. Great videos , keep em coming 🤘🤘🤘
I couldn’t get my head around the behaviour either. It was my first time at Graspop this year having been to Download, Reading and various other festivals all my life, and its a totally different experience. Hardly any litter and no rude people! So much nicer.
Exactly this!!! It's so hard to get that vibe on camera unless you have been to both Download & Graspop. I tried to explain it, but my mind was blown! How did you find Graspop as a whole?
@@billymayhem I loved it. Everything was so incredibly well organised and went like clockwork. No late bands, cancellations or last minute switches. I really think the app with preloaded tokens on the wristbands is something they should bring to the UK. The politeness of everyone there just gave it a whole different vibe and made it a totally different festival to anything from the UK, and I didn’t feel like an old man (I’m 45) in a field full of kids. Also - they love their sleeveless denim jackets with patches. Patches are a huge thing there. The only thing was the heat - it was crazy hot! But you can’t control the weather! Was it your first one?
@@chrisjudd743 Agree with all of that!! But the Wristband thing wasn't for me. As I'm lazy I'd usually pay someone else to get the drinks & with this system it wasn't possible. I remember when Download tried the cashless thing & it was a disaster!!! No signal anywhere, massive queues & it took ages to get the left over cash back afterwards! Totally get what you mean about feeling old, this was so much more civilized it wasn't an issue the whole thing had me in a fantastic mood even when I was burning to shit 😂
Get a blackout tent and it's a life saver. Was so good having it at bloodstock. I had a reflective tarp too so that was heaven using that instead of a gazebo. Download charge a fortune for stall fees so they have to charge more to make anything. I like how the food hall was basically themselves but offered different options so probably far better than easy cheezy and yorky puds
Ruby's been after a Blackout tent for a while, but when we get drunk things get broken & it would kill me to watch a £300+ tent get broke 😂 £50 I can stomach!!! I would love to know how much the stalls have to pay at DL. I remember the SOPHIE drama from this year & that tent was tiny!!! So I'd be curious to know the greed levels. We never actually did the Food Hall, bit did EVERY stall in the Arena 😂
@@billymayhem £200 for the 1 I got from decathlon but always second hand ones going. Or 99 for a more basic one. Sophie stall should be free! I think depending on pitch size it's £3k upwards so a big stall can be £8k. I knew someone who did coffee at glasto and they said it cost them £15k for a few dotted about but they made enough to recover that
@@Phil.Oakley Imagine paying that £££ for a weekend & you get a weekend like Drownload & cant trade or the stock gets damaged... It's such a risk in reality man! I'd love to see a few more independents but that's literally the main thing stopping them I guess. I'd love to know if they take a % of the takings too ya know. So much money involved in this shit!
@@billymayhem half of the stalls are owned by a subsidiary of live nation. That's why last year they sacked off a load of stalls. Nearly all the ones left were LN... Any independent ones keep their takings luckily! But yeah bad weather is not good for them
@@HornsMetal Got offered free tickets the other day as the venue was empty and couldn't sort travel 😔 But their next retirement tour should be good haha
Thanks! It's literally in the Site rules 🫤 They called me out a few times over the weekend but were more concerned about the selfie stick which I left at the tent. It messed the sound up at a few moments but we made it work 😎🤘🏻
The beer on the display case had me is stitches 🤣
You guys are great together! Thanks for showing all of this stuff
Honestly man I forgot about it until watching it all back!! Haha 😂
He's so unintentionally hilarious all the time
🤘🏻
Love these on these cold days!😀😀😀😀
It's easy to forget how hot this festival was!!!

Cheers mate!!
I can see why you've done so many!!
Graspop is literally an 11/10!
You will find so many similarities with Bloodstock! 🤘🏻
Only 3 weeks I think till bloodstock can't wait 🎉
🤘🏻😎🍻
Can't wait!!!
I can feel the heat looking at your vlog lots of suntan lotion. Hat suits you!
Cheers!!! 🤘🏻
I'll grab one at Bloodstock haha
But yeah in a future video Ruby has an issue in the sun & it's pretty scary!
@billymayhem yes you should get hat! Ruby got good taste! Omg heatstroke not good 😐
When is the next live chat?
Great video as usual 🍾
Probably do Wednesday as a Livechat? I dunno.
I wanted to have the chats going when there's a bit more fun going on & less "documentary" footage
🤘🏻

Wacken fest is the same with the shops & metal market. I like kiss too 😉
Kiss are fantastic!!
So what if they are 300 years old?
What a show!!
😂🤘🏻

I would empty my bank account in that metal market!
SAME!!! It was amazing!!!
I'm the absolute worst with collectable anything 😂🤘🏻
I'd be weirded out if I went to a metal show and nobody yelled out "Slayer!"
It's our language!!!

Haha gingers are more sensitive to heat, hot/cold. But have a higher pain tolerance. No beer? 😢
Many MANY beers!! Haha
It's literally all I drank the entire weekend!!! It was cheaper than soft drinks...
Well that was my excuse anyways 😂
There is much better beer to find then argus at same price, because that my man is gruesome.
I know right!!!
We should have gone to a supermarket beforehand but didn't plan anything 😂
Hi Billy, im guessing you saw Red Method are playing Coalition Fest at the New Cross Inn on 2nd September. £30, weekends tickets.
Of course mate!!!
We'll all be there!!!

Did the shops take skullys or card?
I know they took Card but I'm not sure if they took cash?
Not Skullys though, that was only the food & bar. 🤘🏻
