    I got softer cushions and it's an epiphany! I had hard stock cushions so I loosened my trusts so much they clanged on the ground. I can't recommend getting softer cushions enough it will make you FEEL those edges!

    I really appreciate when you do drills with toe stops. Many of your drills I have to do outside on trails.

      I much prefer to keep my toe stops in outside too. I feel much safer that way x

    You are just the best to explaine things and somehow, it all just makes sense. Thanks

    What’s a good way to drill inside edges when you’re skating backwards?

      I need to do a few more backwards videos. Great idea. Thank you

    Hi Katie. I have a question, how do I know if my skates are good for inside edges(to stiff or to loose) or if I have to adjust them?

      If you lean on the big toe abs then the little toe you should feel the wheels flex underneath you. If they flex only a little maybe give them a 1/4 to 1/2 turn to give it a little more movement. If it moves a lot and feels floppy definitely give it a turn or two to tighten. It’s down to your preference but too tight or too loose will effect your skating.

    Hey Katie! I don't know if you take requests/suggestions, but any chance you could make a video breaking down and suggesting drills for the crescent step? I am having such a hard time with that move! Thank you! Love your channel!

      I have never even heard of that step before. Hope Katie does a video on it. Thanks for suggesting it Mariana.

      Hi. I think I know that as the ‘C’ step. It’s a Rythmn move? It looks quite simple but it’s deceptively tricky to get the weight right. I shall get a tutorial sorted for you x

    im struggling to use my edges well, and i can barely pull my legs back in from a bubble if i have no prior momentum. is this because of my lack of experience (i started skating 4 days ago), or is it because my trucks are too tight? thank you to anyone who replies :)

    • @Skatie
      @Skatie  ปีที่แล้ว

      If your trucks are tight that can hold you back, but it’s definitely hard to get momentum from bubbles. Really lean on those inside edges. th-cam.com/video/dE2hgiWoZGw/w-d-xo.html. You can start from a push to give you some speed to start with.
