Mike Hurt They restrict to protect user privacy and safety. On Android, the chances of getting malware or viruses are much higher than on iOS (actually almost impossible). Google CEO himself said if he were to make malware, his platform for attack would be Android. Freedom in a OS is not always a positive but can be also negative when it can possibly hurt user privacy and safety.

I'm switching to android after a decade of using apple's ecosystem. This video kept telling I would be losing a lot of apps and functionalities, but I never used them in the first place. I was an apple consumer just because I didn't like android back in 2010. I even had a windows phone because I really didn't want to use android. However, now I feel like android has evolved to become a superior OS with better and cheaper phones. It is worth it to make the transition.
Apple is just excellent in brainwashing rich people that's one thing apple does best nothing else that's what i believe. I would prefer buying Alienware laptops instead of mac & no need to mention about phones as there are so many
Most of the facts are wrong. I myself came from iPhone XS to Galaxy S10 Plus. My S10 Plus even downloaded all the apps from Playstore automatically. Even my wallpapers, wifi passwords and other essential settings came to my new phone.

We've known for years that it's hard to switch from Apple to Android. It's by design. Apple wants people to get used to the Apple way of doing things. It doesn't matter if it make sense to do it that way or not. They condition their users into thinking built in software features are somehow something that's not available anywhere else... "Yea Android has video chat but does it have *FaceTime* ?"
Apple doesn't target the tech savvy, they target people who are about style, image, and status. Which kinda explains this video's lack of useful information. It's not for someone who would _actually_ make the switch.
Yea, you can just plug android phone in computer, and click and drag any file you want back and forth. PDFs, DOCs, MKVs, MP3s,... it is so easy. I’ve tried copying movies and tv shows to iPhone and iPad, and Apple just refuses. They were even in the Apple-preferred low quality MP4s, and it still refused. Android works with all file types just like Windows 10 does. Also, VLC player works wonders on all operating systems. You just made the switch easy for me. Android, here I come.
I have an Galaxy s10+ and my wife has an iPhone XR. We have zero problems sending messages without doing anything you said. Maybe do research before you make a video.

The main issues comes with MMS and sending photos and especially videos in full quality. It’s a breeze with iMessage, but sadly MMS hasn’t innovated since 2007.
She is talking about transferring all her iMessage data and rejoining an iMessage group without an iMessage account. You can live without iMessage but once you are on it and you want to go back it becomes difficult.

I started with an iPhone and got a Chromebook for school. Once you do that, you start transitioning to cross platform applications instead. After that, it makes it much easier to switch to Android, because you are already accustomed to using those cross-platform apps. That's how I did it!

I successfully switched from Apple to Android about 3 or 4 years ago. It is a matter of the willingness to do so. If Apple users choose to stay that is their choice and I respect that. But if they decide it's time, I suggest planning it gradually. I was able to do so quickly but not everyone's situation is the same. There are good articles online with advice on how to do it.

I switched a long time ago and never had any of those issues you mentioned. I mean sure, iMessage is convenient, but then again - it is not like your life depends on it. In my opinion, the real reason why people do not really feel like switching, is because many tend to think they are better or above those using non-Apple devices. I have seen it with some friends. People give you the "why would you" look as soon as you start thinking about switching, like your quality of life will dramatically worsen as soon as you drop Apple devices. At the end of the day, it all comes down to preference, so I really suggest people try for themselves and see what is better, instead of jumping on the bandwagon, because "the media and all the cool people say so" lol... really.

In my country india no one, absolutely NO ONE uses imessage all we know is whatsapp and its available in ios and android its way better then imessage and makes it easier to switch from apple to Samsung

You won't necessarily lose apple news, podcast, voice memo or apple maps because there's always google news, google podcast, and google maps. And as far as i know all phones usually come with they're own voice memo app.

That's such a weird problem. I never had an IPhone, but I switch a lot between ecosystems. The premise "If you switch from one ecosystem to another you need to manually sync your data"(not a quote!) feels like a no brainer.

It’s hella easy to move photos to Android. Just sync everything to Google photo on your iOS device. I carry both iOS and Android together everyday. The photos sync between 2 devices when you take photos on either one.
Just flush your Apple stuff down the toilet and switch to Android. Problem solved
