Sorry Jaan Nissar is really bad. Not much chemistry between the lead, why the hero even fell in love makes no sense, just rich guy having swag and helping the damsel in distress is all people want to watch. The side stories are all fast forward, the brothel side story coming back again so trashy.
Oh Please. Hiba Bukhari and Danish Taimoor has a great chemistry and they are insanely popular as the most celebrated on-screen couple. Please stop this non sense now..

Agree. Deewangi had a storyline. Jaan Nisar capitalized on chemistry between hiba and danish without a script. The bhabhi vamp is a crazy character. Sarafaraz is weak and wasted character. Haroon is a good actor not sure why he signed up for such a role. Duas dad is too irrational. I only see the promos of the episodes 😂

Even I watch Radd and I watch it only because it's so easy to watch, no need to pay attention. I watch it while cooking or even doing office work. Can't do it with ZPKB or Mr ^ mrs shameem.

Exactly. Hiba doesn't have SM hype but she has ground popularity. HIba has been a TRP queen for a while. Tere Ishq Ke Naam (her drama before Radd and JN) used to get high TRPs too, even better than Mein in many weeks. That drama was riding on Hiba's name not Zavyar's or Usama's. I hope Hiba gets due credit.

Nothing against any actor but Hiba is a way better performer than Durefishan, who still needs to work a lot on her skills as an actor; Hiba, on the other hand justifies every character she does, no matter what character she plays, she knows her job really well❤

Gentlemen is over hyped that’s why views are declining and not bec of lack of romance between lead bec drama like parizad , ehde wafa proved u don’t need romance but a good blend of actors can bring in the views , here we have Humayun and yumna yet the views are similar to kabuli pulao or akhara which were not promoted like gentlemen and had minimal romance

My Top 3 would be :
1. Zard Patton Ka Bunn : because I am a huge Sajal Aly fan and I truly admire Hamza Sohail as a very good actor. Joining my list of favourites is Mubasheer Mehmood. ZPKB is an absolutely enjoyable watch because of the strong and meaningful storyline and also the superb performances of all the supporting cast.
2. Radd : I am really loving this drama primarily because of Sheheryar Munawar. His transition from a petrified and badly bullied young man to taking full control of the situation with full confidence is amazing. Just wish Arsalan wasn’t coming back to ruin things.
3. Jaam Nisar : I love the Danish-Hiba chemistry. Danish is very convincing as Nousherwan and so is Hiba as Dua. She has a sensible head on her shoulders and does not nurture a massive ego nor does she foolishly take on things by herself, but wisely lets her husband sort them. I just get terribly bored when we Fiza comes on screen. Although she has landed from the frying pan to fire, she can do better than just keep whining.

It's my personal opinion but I personally think that production houses should stop blaming audience ke wo aisay serials dekhna Pasand karte Hain I think that ke agar ap interesting dramas banaye Jo out of the box hon or entertaining bhi hon tou audience kewn nhi dekhte gi we have examples like parizaad yakeen ka safar ehdewafa udaari Khaie gentleman ye Dil Mera hum Tum cheekh pyar ke sadqay dunk ishq zahe naseeb and Soo many other interesting dramas that is actually good content wo logon ne dekhe Hain unki viewership Hain ye production houses ka apna nakara paan hai ke khud ghatiya drame banao or Jo message oriented dramas hote hain wo itne interesting nhi hote or phir baad main audience ko blame kardo ke jee ye log aisay drame dekhana chahte Hain isliye banate Hain that's ridiculous.....

Shiddat is a big hit cuz the story isn't just a story but its a reality and sadly a lot of women go thru or have gone thru it. ppl relate to the characters and the story and that's what makes a drama hit. its not geo's viewership (if it was the case then every drama of geo would've been getting views and ratings which isn't) but the fact is muneeb has his own fan following thru his yt channel and anmol has her own fan base especially from India thru her dramas like aik sitam aur, sirftum and now shiddat, hence the drama is so popular among the Indian audience and almost every episode is on trending.
1.Radd :it's full package of romance, thriller,suspense good story ,good direction, all actors performed well especially hiba and sheheryar acting and chemistry 🔥 2. jaanisaar : because of chemistry daniba and story is thrilling and masaledaar 3.zpkb: good story and acting

My observations from my life and of similar demographic around me - here is the breakdown for most families here living away from Pakistan.
Many dramas you mentioned here with with a gazillion views are our mindless dramas we watch while doing house chores
Zarad Paton Ka band and Gentleman we watched in the beginning - loved it and waiting for it to end so we can binge after. It is excruciating to wait for those episodes every week.
Check the stats of these few good dramas after a few weeks from their last episodes.
Agree i havent watched any of these dramas i always wait for them to end so ik if theyre good or not

jafaa is nowhere in your list whereas views wise it is better than ZPKB, Gentleman, Burns Road and similar as Radd.

End of the day what matters most is entertainment. The primary goal of a drama is providing entertainment to the audience. If anyone wants to see any message or lesson through a drama It's okay. They will get many options. But it doesn’t mean every drama have to give a any message. But makers should be careful that they are not selling anything regressive in the name of entertainment.
The three dramas are:
1. Zard patton ka bann
2. Gentlemen
3. Jafaa
My reasons to watch only these three dramas is that they are made with a thought and a purpose. They are subtle. They have a message and they are not in your face dramas with a shashka or mirch masala. They have their nuasances and I like them.
Gentleman is an overall dud. When your expectations are sky high and when the final product doesn't live up to its hype, it's only natural we end up being totally disappointed. I keep telling myself may be the next episode will have something exciting or the pace will pick up but it doesn't seem to lift off and after watching a couple of episodes, I don't think it will turn around and give that spark which is badly missing up till now. Gentleman is a big letdown, period.

In my opinion the difference in popularity between ZPKB and JN is because in JN the woman has a saviour while the leading lady in ZPKN is empowered and is not looking for a saviour. The former is a culturally acceptable narrative the latter not so much...

These 3 are way above the rest storyline wise and relatibility wise. Other dramas like Noorjehan , Jaan Nisaar are regressive . It is difficult for me to even watch it now when women are shamed and receive untold misery.

I basically don't watch much so my list is 1. Radd 2. Jaffa 3. Gentleman although I love yumna but unlike the first two dramas I don't eagerly wait for gentlemen. I watch it when I get the time and that too just for yumna but I just desperately wait for Radd.😂❤ I think you guys should have also talked about Sheryar. He is just so so good in Radd alongside Hiba.
I have really tried to give gentleman a fair chance but there is not enough a pull in this drama.
I think KRQ dialogues are also quite average and the pairing of Humayuon & Yumna is also not appealing.
A character like Rehmati getting atttacted to a girl like Zarnab also does not make sense cause his kind of a person would not be attracted to a righteous, progressive and very honest girl ….since these are not the things that hold any value to him. And Rehmati is too Old for zarnab as well so it’s not getting the audience hooked to this sort of love angle.
They should show 2 episodes a week and wrap it honestly.
Yikesss! Exactly the point. I mean why are they trying to show a man whos almost like fatherly age to yumna is in love with her character. Why is it like the 3 main characters are in love with a female lead? I think the drama is being watched only because of yumna.

As amna said jaan Nisar is sort of junk food which has not a nutritional values like wise Radd has an awesome content right now, for me radd is no 1. Gentleman has got an intelligent story I know it's quit slow pace but it's interesting as well, so Gentleman is in no 2. Zard patton ka band is a critic kind of drama, mostly audience don't want to see a drama that is way backward. Very slow story as well, the only highlight of the drama is sajjal nothing much in this drama so I'm rating this in no 3.
About Jaan nisar... Don't want to discuss that bullshit story which make no sense. Aise dramay kaha se aaty hn or kahan chale jaate hn pata bi nhi chalta. Nobody remembered.

Jaan Nisar analysis is on point . JN may not have any substance. It's an old school romance and damsel in distress story, which always works with the audience .Knight in shining Armour always attracts. And yes, the main track is not problematic even though the sub plot is which is totally unnecessary, and I'm sure many must be skipping that part
I have noticed recently, a change in Aamna’s personality. Getting annoyed easily , having argumentative conversations with Hasan. I was wondering what is going on with Aamna. I have come to the conclusion that maybe she going through mid life crises causing mood swings.

Have to agree with Hassan in that educating the audience to elevate the overall expectations and intellect is really important. PTV dramas including adaptations of The Fountainhead were watched all the way up to the dihaat via antenna. So we definitely have historical precedent to back this. Agreed “mass consumption” is a concept but giving someone a ganney ka russ vs diluted coke in a plastic thailee, what would you do?
You can’t explain away a Jaan Nisar by calling it mindless junk; you have plenty of examples on OTT where bubblegum entertainment can still be well made.
My reason for watching Radd is just Arsalan Naseer.... Not interested in other tracks...😅

آمنہ کی بات سے متفق ہوں کہ ڈراموں کے سائیڈ ٹریکس صرف زرد پتوں کا بن ،رد اور جنٹلمین کے ہی اچھے ہیں باقی سبکے سائیڈ ٹریکس 5۔1 پر دیکھے جاتے ہیں

I feel some of the dramas that trend are a reflection of how the Pakistani drama watching audience has not evolved and it’s the same older generation that continues to watch them. I don’t see a lot of the younger audience gravitating towards Pakistani dramas. I probably would be in Hassan’s generation (if he were to truly share his age but my guess) of the audience and as much as I wish my kids would watch some of these drama I personally don’t see that happening for them. More so for the overseas Pakistani. I am sure if Pakistan drama watching flowed through the next generation then more meaningful content would trend.
