My first video of 2020 is Renge-ji and Seiken-ji.
These two temples are located in Kamitakano, Kyoto.
I could see the peak of Mt. Hiei in the blizzard.
It was raining at Rengeji and Seiken-ji Temple.
明けましておめでとうございます。
今年最初のビデオは蓮華寺と栖賢寺です。
二つのお寺は上高野に位置し、ここから比叡山の山頂付近が
吹雪いていたのが見えました。蓮華寺と栖賢寺では雪の代わりに
雨がしとしと降っていました。
The small garden at Renge-ji Temple is a chisen kanshoshiki teien designed to be appreciated from the shoin.
蓮華寺の庭園は小さく、書院からの鑑賞を旨とした池泉鑑賞式の庭園です。

I visited Rengeji 49 years ago. I still remember the peacefulness that I experienced there. After all these years, it remains the most special memory of my trip to Kyoto. Whenever my spirit seeks solace, I close my eyes and open my heart. Once again, I am sitting on the tatami gazing at the quiet garden and pond. Peace finds me again.

いつも拝見しております。この辺りは訪れると胸がキュッとなるといいますか、独特の空気がありますね。栖賢寺さん、紅葉の時期に住職さんのお知り合いのような方が中でミニ個展をされていて、新しい住職さんが入られて色々と手を入れられているようなお話を伺いました。以前はネット上では名前も写真もお察し下さいという空気でしたが、きれいな映像で状況が良くなってきたのかな？ちょっと安心しました
