Victor Davis Hanson is an American classicist, military historian, columnist, and farmer. He has been a commentator on contemporary politics for the National Review and The Washington Times and is currently the Martin and Illie Anderson Senior Fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution.
In addition to writing hundreds of articles, book reviews and newspaper editorials, Hanson is also the author of twenty-four books and hosts a regular podcast series, 'The Victor Davis Hanson Show'. Hanson was awarded the National Humanities Medal in 2007 by President George W. Bush, and was a presidential appointee in 2007-08 on the American Battle Monuments Commission. His latest book, The Dying Citizen, was published in October 2021. And his next book, soon to be released on May the 7th this year, The End of Everything, How Wars Descend Into Annihilation.

Yes. and humans don´t have a nature and is malleable. Everything is leant or due to ideology and can be changed. Communism had the same assumption on human nature. If humans are born with a bias towards familiarity and origin, a multicultural "society" is doomed. Will never work.

Good point! CITIZENS MUST HAVE a passport, birth certificate, AND a Driver's License to board a plane (and at one time proof of the COVID jab to even get on a plane or as to obtain a passport), yet these unknown, undocumented people are being boarded on planes and taken to various locations throughout the U.S. Our broken, immigration, bureaucratic system needs to be changed. I have friends in India who have been trying for 9 years to get their Visa renewed to come back to the U.S. Their children were born here. They were educated here. They worked here. Why are they not allowed to come? They have been advised to just immigrate illegally. They would have a better chance. Of course, they will not do that - they know it's a federal crime to do that. So law abiding people cannot enter but people who break the law can enter?

Ironically, the crisis of confidence we are experiencing now reflects the difficulties of the 1600s and the desire of European people to escape to the west where they founded the Americas. This current crisis of confidence sets us up for an environment where people will choose to go and live in space with all the opportunities that offers. History always repeats.
Pleased that Anderson and VDH mentioned “The Dying Citizen”. An exceptional book, really a must read.

It's deliberate. I used to think it was about destroying the state from within. But it is the opposite. The state is being boosted by a new population of dependents, while the old population of independent citizens are the ones being destroyed.

I was with VDH until he said "a unique West, that was multiracial." VDH wants us to face the truth, but he's avoiding a truth here. Western Civilization was developed by European whites. After the ages of exploration and colonization there were small racial minorities in the West, but they didn't create the civilization. This is not to make some kind of racist comment, but the whole truth needs to be embraced, not just what VDH wants to accept. Multiculturalism is causing our downfall, with the multiple cultures of different races who can't live peacefully together.
Some things have skyrocketed in just the last 6 months. An old gal down the street drinks Kroger diet tonic water. She says it helps her leg cramps. Whether true or not I don't know, but here is the deal. She said 6 months ago a 2 liter bottle of Kroger diet tonic water was $1. Then Kroger discontinued the 2 liter bottles and only sold a 1 liter bottle, for $1. Now the 1 liter bottle that was $1 has been raised to $1.50...all within the last 6 months. Kroger is shrinking the size and raising the cost. And if they can, they may reduce the quality of the product to make more $$. It is the American way!

He claims the west was "multi-racial". The US had until the "Hart-Celler act of 1965" a ban on non-western immigration. Australia, Canada and New Zealand was also formally closed to non-western immigration until the seventies. Non-western immigration only started in the eighties with the amnesties given under Roland Reagan.

to wither. It's people become complacent, lazy and non-supportive but when you have forces, enemies that want your country when they invade, break your laws and your lazy complacent politicians do not enforce our laws we lose. IT becomes our own fault to not protect our soverign borders enforce our laws....and when you have a major political party neglecting its duty to serve and protect our people it's time for change.
