Thank you for sharing your lectures on TH-cam. I am currently going through your Philosophy and History of Christian Thought playlist and learning a lot. I often find it surprising that the videos I find most insightful, such as this one and the one on Art and Philosophy (video 39), are the ones I was initially tempted to skip.
I happened to read same ideas in sophism, especially 12th century arab thinker Ibn Arabi who saw god everywhere and advocated love of god. He stated there's as many presentation of God as there are human beings, he could see god in every beings. The poet Al Halaj, who lived prior to Ibn Arabi was executed in Baghdad for his sophism, he used to great donkeys because of their manifestation of God and saw no difference between The call for pray and voice of donkeys, because they all manifestation of god
During 8th grade I read a little Spinoza on my own. Came to a quick certain conclusion, Spinoza is confused. He obscures his jumps of fancy with many words that seem logical. Did not bother with the other continental philosophers. Now at 62yo I am basically hearing I was right. I am not impressed by any philosopher other than Christ who alone put Plato and Socrates together in His own person.
Well you're totally biased and wrong. Spinoza's metaphysics is one of the most coherent and well though of systems there is. One question to you sir, have you ever even read Spinoza's work in its entirety?

Bach's Intervention no 8 by Simon Mynberg
Sounds like a convoluted extension of Anselm's argument.
Where does Spinoza equate' thought' with 'non-extension'? Not aware of that.

Before Christ I came to only one certainty: "puteo ergo sum". I stink, therefore I am. As I examined my thoughts, I found them all selfish.

If you did, I am gladly willing to discuss your "critique".
